Hope all is going well for your family. My niece was born at 24 weeks. She weighed 1 lb 9 oz and was 11 3/4 inches long. We could hold her in the palm of our hands. The dr. said she would never survive. Today she is a BEAUTIFUL , intelligent 7 year old. She has long blond hair that falls in perfect ringlets. She has NO physical or mental impairments at all! PRAISE GOD!! You see, God is in control and medical Dr.'s are improving. I pray your little Joe will have the same happy ending our little Austyn has. She is truly a miracle and a precious angel. Hang in there!! Love little Joe with all you have!

It is a hard decision I know and one you have to make for yourself. My thoughts are that the longer you wait the more difficulty he will have catching up. It is physically exhausting trying to hear and understand what is going on around you not to mention scary at times. His speech will also be affected if not so already. Technology has greatly improved and Doctors have actually performed very delicate and complicated surgeries on ears with great success.

My heart goes out to you both. Hang in there!!

I was born with a hearing loss. The best thing my parents did for me was to not treat me any different because of it. They also were there for every one of my dr, audiologist, and hearing aid appointments. They showed their unconditional Love and support no matter what. I know it was hard for them and my Mom blamed herself for a long time. She thought she had done something to cause my hearing loss. She didn't. I was born that way, just luck of the draw I guess.

North is NOT good. We are still tryin to thaw out here in Southern Indiana from our ice storm last week. Around E-Town Ky they are still without power

hard to get help with so much of the midwest hit hard. Lots of hotels are giving reduced rates but with so many just having lost jobs that isn't feasible for them

Unemployement is a 7 week wait here in Indiana now.

I work in insurance claims here in southern indiana
one of the biggest issues is we still haven't totally recovered from Hurricane Ike in Sept. Still have 100,000 without power and schools have been closed all week. Some shelters even with out power or water.

You get them to use the snow in the driveway to make this monstrous fort in the middle of the yard. Then sit back with your Hot Chocolate and watch the snow disappear from the drive!!
