Are your mom and grandmother needing a lot of help? There are services that can give you a break. Have you looked into any adult daycares? My Sister just lost her job so is helping me now. That has been a huge help! |

it wouldnt be an "out", it would be the way in to a life or misery for you. you'd always wonder, what if i had found someone i really love, would life be even better. Seriously, I have 3 kids and I take care of my Mom and Grandma. No man wants to deal with all that. Besides, I'm not sure there are any good ones left. Maybe I'm just in a pity party mood. I know there are lots of people out there dealing with much worse. Yep, that's a pity party. One day the right man will want to deal with it. Enjoy those kids for crying out loud! They grow up fast! Learn to enjoy life and learn to enjoy yourself. Then the right man will come along. You are sooo right! My kids are the greatest blessing in my life. Seems like yesterday my 16 year old was taking her first step. Now she is driving! What an awesome responsiblity! |

I told him he deserves someone that truly loves him. He says I will learn to in time, that everything else is there. Guess I'm just tired of trying to do everything myself and this would be an easy out. Not fair to him I know. The kids are pushing hard. They really like him and think it would be great. You would be hurting him in the long run, IMO. That is the last thing I would ever want to do. We have a great friendship that I value and don't want to ruin it. |

has he asked you to marry him? Yes and I told him all the reasons we shouldn't. He has an answer for everything. Says he has loved me and my kids for years but would never do anything to destroy my marriage. Now that my husband walked out and left me for someone else and the divorce has been final for a year that it was time to start a new life. |

That is my fear. I would love the "fairy tale". You know the man that loves you for who you are. You love him and you are best of friends, white picket fence...yada yada. but that doesnt add up, you said you dont love him. you may be "in love with the idea of being in love" I realize I don't love him. I was just saying that was what I would like to find with someone. |

Never. Children from one parent households can turn out just fine as long as they have other positive and loving male role models around. (and vice versa for the males who are raising children alone ) In my opinion, it wouldn't work, one or the other would eventually find someone that you did connect with on a "love" level. Good Point! |

your setting your self up for failure because you already know you dont love him, some people think that you can learn to love someone. this is a myth, in most cases most people who are in love felt that way within the first few dates. That is my fear. I would love the "fairy tale". You know the man that loves you for who you are. You love him and you are best of friends, white picket fence...yada yada. |

What if it meant you could not ever have to be alone, always have a roof over your head and someone that would be a good Dad for your kids.

I can honestly say no. I love all my kids equally just as my parents and grandparents have always done. My relationship with each child is different but the love is the same.

I hear ya sister. Having 3 kids ( two of which are teen agers, YIKES) no one is interested. Or if they are its only for a one night stand. That's not me. I keep hearing there are nice guys out there, sure wish they'd let me know who they are!
