They can work if you have spare money and enough time off work, and at least one person is willing to move. Without these things i would not advise it. This goes for any LDR, transatlantic or not.

I work 12hr shifts and i agree. There is not much else going on except for working whilst you are on shift. I dont have to work as many days overall though as other people so i cant complain about it. Sometimes i will be working nearly every day for a few weeks, other times i will have a few weeks where i dont have to work all that much.

I'm sure they will be doing more experiments, any scientist in their right mind is not going to perform something once and then say "hey look at this" they will have to repeat it over and over adn then the science community will have to tear the whole thing apart and sift through all the evidence they have suggested in order to make it a theory or throw it out completely. This is just getting started. They have already tested and re-tested this and they keep on getting the same results. Because they cannot explain it, and are baffled themselves that this could even be possible, they have put it out there for the scientific community to scrutinise. |

I read Stephen Hawking's latest book a little while ago - The Grand Design. He talked about the double slit experiment in quite some detail. I enjoyed reading about it, and the rest of the book too, and as i was reading it i felt like i was understanding it. But once i finished i realised i still knew next to nothing about Quantum Physics. I never quite grasped anything i was reading. Maybe im just not very bright, but then also i think most people struggle to really comprehend QM.

I go to church for weddings and funerals. But then, none of the people that i have seen getting married or buried have been remotely religious. Churches are nice settings for occasions, and that is it.

The matieral in the video just looks like a large cotton wool bud to me. Cotto wool can be pulled apart into tiny fibres and i would imagine it could be light enough for wind to be able to get under it and make it float. |
