Statistics are important, and I guarantee you that the next Republican president will parade all the statistics that make them look better, too. So an immigrant killed a woman in Georgia and statistics remind us how rare that is. The US could spend all our time and money on immigrant-on-citizen violence, or we could better spend it on other things because that rarely happens. Violent crime is trending lower overall, too.

This is delusional. Under Biden we have the healthiest economy in the free world. Unemployment is lower and the stock market is higher than at any time during the Trump Administration. Trump cozied up with dictators because they said nice things to him, and literally shared classified information with them--even kicking out all his staff when meeting the Russians in the Oval Office. Domestically, he hired family and friends, or TV pundits to work in his administration, and fired them if they dared put the country over Trump.

I will say that Trump was brilliant from one point of view. He's exposed the defects in our Constitution. Before him, we never thought a President could, or would ever need, to pardon himself. Before Trump, nobody ever wondered whether a President could commit crimes with total immunity, and what if the president's political party holds a majority in one of the chambers of Congress, can he do whatever he likes? It's sickening, but now possible that our next president could be a convicted felon and get away with selling national defense secrets, because he claims he declassified them when the cheque cleared.

Biden did not apologize to the immigrant who killed a police officer. He only apologized for using the incorrect and racially charged term "illegal." Also the family of the slain officer are rabid conservatives and did not invite Biden to appear at the wake. I don't know all the details of the crime, but even if Biden supports giving immigrants a chance, and some go on to commit crimes, the statistics still show that immigrants are less criminal on average than full US citizens, despite what your favorite conservative bloggers apparently tell you.

Yeah, must make the MAGA crowd sad that their former presidents don't help out with fundraising. But then again, Trump doesn't even have the support of most of his former staffers, much less previous administrations.

From what I read about the Hur/Biden interview, he was fine. I don't see why Biden should take a dementia screening test. He seems in control and knowledgeable about the issues.

Conversely, Trump said Covid-19 could be cured by injecting bleach, and hurricanes could be nuked away. He confuses Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley, and claims he defeated George Bush and Barack Obama. True, Trump appears to be leading right now in most swing states. Although I see it's trending in Biden's direction, too. It's still way early, as the primaries aren't even technically finished. There's usually a "bump" from each convention, and we still have to see who Trump's VP will be. That should give him a boost, too, at least for a while. Maybe he picks someone really charismatic that'll get Trump over the top.

The bill had nothing granting amnesty. Refugees from Afghanistan would've gotten permanent status (not citizenship) but most of the bill is about funding for more people to work on the problems at the border. Seemingly more important to Republicans would've been the part of the bill that shuts down the border when too many immigrants come. You can look it up yourself.

There is no "deep state"--at least not as you claim. Biden doesn't direct the DOJ. He just appoints the AG and head of the FBI and trusts they do their jobs, as a President should. Trump's the one showing a mental decline. Have you heard any of his speeches, lately? The guy's losing it. One moment saying he's got hundreds of $millions on hand and the next griping about not being able to put up a $450 million bond. Maybe we'll find out which is it, in a few hours, in between his blaming Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi and insisting he'll "beat Obama again" so that Biden doesn't "get us into World War Two." LOL.

You seem to think Biden brought those lawsuits in the various states to disqualify Trump from the ballot, but those were mostly brought by Republicans and all of them were brought by plaintiffs in the respective states. Neither Biden nor the DOJ joined those lawsuits. Biden's just doing his job, and quite well. Time for Congressional Republicans to meet the challenge.

Sorry about the biscuits, but it looks more like corporate greed in that case. Inflation over the past couple years is barely over 10%. Not 66%. Restaurant pricing is like the old "Lemonade stand" game, and if their prices are too high, then you need to stop going there, or else they'll get the message that they can charge whatever they like and their stupid customers will keep paying more.

As far as polls go, maybe you can cite a source, because the polls I see show Trump and Biden going up and down by a few percent, and no correlation to current events. The general sentiment is that most independents hate both Biden and Trump, and the bases are pretty steady with their candidate. But it's also not an attack from Biden on Trump when SDNY finds Trump liable for bank fraud and tax evasion. Even the upcoming criminal trials are independent of Biden.

There's no requirement that the prosecutor has to have sympathy for the defendant, and it's not unfair for a prosecutor to want to win their case, either. There are rules of the court and there is no evidence the D.A. has violated any such rules.

As for Trump's popularity, it's not a matter for the court. The court weighs the facts and makes rulings. The D.A. came with a real case with facts and Trump failed to come up with a credible defense. It was so clear that the DA got a default judgement. That's not political. It'll be up to the campaigns to deal with Trump's popularity.
