I believe you did the right thing by ending it with him. It is clear that both of you do not want the same thing. You have to believe that you deserve more than he's willing to give. There are plenty of good men out there who do want the same long term commitment that you do. In the meantime, be yourself. Be strong! Be joyful that you have stood up for yourself. Remember the things that make you happy and do more of them! Now the door will be open for someone fresh and new! You rock, girl!

This is a really unique site in that there are many people who have been here for quite some time. They have become a family that, for the most part, gives unconditional love. Anybody want any snow?
I can ship you some for sure!! TeeHee!! We are recovering from one heck of a blizzard. I have the most amazing snowdrift going on in my front yard. I got stuck in my driveway and I could not for the life of me open my door until I looked out the window and realized the snow was almost to my window! Yes, I have a small car, a Focus! But seriously! Do you know how tricky it is AND uncomfortable to try and get over the stickshift and emergency brake to get myself to the passenger seat! I think I've been violated!

Safe Word Victory

Being a working single parent of 2 kids, we had a safety word. I told my children if anything ever happened that I couldn't pick them up, that I would have instructed the person to tell them the secret word right away and if they didn't hear it, run to somewhere safe. There were other examples for them as well.
It's kinda funny that my daughter who is now 31 recently told me the secret password and said she thought it was one of the best ideas ever. I thought that was pretty cool. Good post Star!
