Redy...I REALLY don't like you, but you will see good things happen soon. What happenned in California is just a start. Society will come around. By the way, my daughter is going with her best friend this summer to hit up the gay parade in San Diego. That's what's up. My daughter goes to church and does not judge her friends or others. I did not teach my kids to hate others. They accept people for who they are. But, I will say my daughters are much kinder than I. I wonder if my daughter is gay.
  Oh well, whatever. I love them no matter what.

Hi Eljay This is rather di-ingenuous - and an ad hominum attack on your part. Who's the one passing judgement here? eH? I don't see any Christians passing judgement on ANYONE here. What is being questioned is a law that I personally don't see any need for. What is a law needed for? (when the constitution affords every citizen of this country all of the freedoms they need). If someone is being discriminated against - we already have laws for this. What's the problem here? And what has God got to do with any of this?
have you read the link I have posted? Have you imagined Your life and the lives of your friends and family without the benefit of all the laws (all 1049 of them) that are not extended to the GLBT????? Have you ever ONCE considered what your life would be like if you had to hide your religion from your bosses at work? Or if you were suddenly evicted from your the place you rented for being suspected of being gay - and no court in the state will help you, because there is no law against such discrimination? Have you ever considered being denied access to those you consider family, when the law considers you nothing to them? Have you ever been in a foreign country and your children and their mother are denied visa's to vist you, because you are not MARRIED to her? Have you ever had to take care of your invalid partner for more than 10 years without benefit of her social security. Having to lie and say she is your sister just so the doctors will take of her? what is wrong with all you poeple - question yourself - why don't you know these things go on? Why can't you see beyond what you WANT to believe. Are you all so afraid of having to give up your pecious right to judge??????? Look, I am a Christian that believes that you should be able to love whoever the hell you want and get benefits too. So, why don't you stop saying " You Christians"? Gheez, you get on my nerves. So with that being said. Until you stop bashing Christians as a whole I am gonna stay here.

Why do so many Christians feel vindicated in judging others by the standards they are personally unable to meet? YES!!!! Redy, I wanna give you a biiiiiiig sloppy kiss!!! This is my point, and always has been Their blind sheep-like mentality is hypocritical. It always has been "Dont do as I do, do as I say" Even if the storybook they try to force upon us is found to be contradictory And having done so how do they have the audacity to believe they are righteous in denying others an equal opportunity to pursue their own PERSONAL path, no matter how it deals with THEIR God?
Some christians on here need to deal with their frustration of not being able to get the rest of the world to kowtow to their ""love thy neighbour" but only if he agrees with me" ideal. I don't love thy neighbor...Christian or not.

My question was directed to give you perspective. Reality! If you extend these benefits to gays then there will be much abuse and you might as well extend them to everyone. Cause sooner or later they are going to demand them also! You are a sad, sad, little man, Fanta. I hope you have at least one decent friend, someone who cares enough to make you get some help. You are bitter, paranoid and can not think critically or even rationally at times. If you truely believe in the benefit of prayer, I think it would behoove you to ask your Christian friends at the coffee hourse to do thier thing. I will not acknowledge you further! What a pitiful response. I hope you handle your personal discussions better than that! You have an agenda that reasonable debate from reasonable intelligent humans wont allow. I never asked you to acknowledge me or expected it. You dont acknowledge the other 81% of Americans either!!

WOW!! i hope everyone who is searching their mind's about whether or not to possibly try christianity, becuase of what you say is true of love,forgiveness,acceptence of other's sin's, mercy,justice,and all else your christ teaches, reads this post over and over, you've just made a better case for "NOT" ever even thinking about the truth you hold so dear and high in your christian way's and ideals - ""i could never have come close to showing christians intent's as much as you have stated in this thread"" - thank you so much - may this continue to lead people away from the things you call or consider "light" - no offense to Jesus, or god, just to those who think in their remarks that in some way any outsider wanting to find out more about christians and there ways really are in "real" life.
