You know, the flash backs have no sound only that brilliant color, but I still get jolted awake with fear. I don;t think people understand what a soldier in combat goes through and then brings it home.

The unknown has always mystified me. The fear of what happens after death causes much discussion and even greater fear. What if there really isn'r anything after? Does that make our time here worthless?

If there is something afterwards, why have we never been given even a hint of what it is? You figure that billions upon billions of people have passed on, wouldn't it really be crowded on the other side? Stupid thoughts perhaps, but I do wonder.

Yeah, it is difficult to understand somethings. But I know many people who claim they have seen or experienced ghosts. I can't really relate to that because I never have had an experience.

I am really intrigued by these. I have never had an experience, or seen a ghost or shadow or felt a presence, but I feel deep down there is a lot to this.

Has anyone out there had an experience with a passed loved one or something happen that saved your life when you shouldn't still be here? When I was in combat, I was in the middle of a group of 9 people, we were hit by six RPGs. All I can remember is a brilliant flash of orange, no noise nothing else but that brilliant color. When I came too I am told I was over thirty feet away from where I was and my buddies had all been literally vaporized.

Was that luck or...?

You will do just fine. Its humbling here. You think you are the only one with troubles and you find everyone has something going on, more some days than others.

There is something good about that, it means when people respond to you, they have been there and done that so they have nothing to prove, only help and understanding to offer.

For me, I would like to find someone. Heck the longer you look at yourself in a mirror the better looking you think you are. Besides,its not good talking to youself all the time.

Actually pretty upbeat, but no bills came in today so I will get over that real fast tomorrow.

Today, I had an experience that I can't explain. We have had thunderstorms all day, some violent others nothing at all. During a storm late this afternoon, I heard a distinct knocking st the front door of my condo. I looked out and there was no one there.

Needless to say the hair on the back of my neck went up. I thought it might have been the storm, but when I opened the door, there wasn't anyone there, but there were three brand new copper pennies face up on the mat which weren't there before.

It wasn't dark, it was during the late afternoon, and it was three distinct knocks twice. Very unnerving.

I'll put my X on anything as long as there are no witnesses!

Because of all of you, I realize we all share the same tragedies, triumphs, frustrations, and dreams. Sometimes we get too tied up in our own little worlds and think we are the only ones with problems.

I have traveled all over the world and we are all the same, we want to be loved, we want to make a difference, we want someone to say thanks for being there, and we suffer the same frustrations, defeats and tragedies. Cultural and language difference temper how people go about expressing their emotions and solving these problems, but we are all the same.

OK, since we are here, lets have a big HUGGGGGG! Wow, do I say that? This is a moment, don't tell anybody I started this, I have a reputation to uphold. I know what you mean. Godsnaturelover had a very good point. I also believe in spirit guides and guardian angels, I wouldn't be here now if they didn't exist. Maybe my wife won't appear to me until I move on, but it is so difficult to understand that which we can't understand etc.
