God created this world as a perfect whole. He createrd the beautiful, harmonious world that man threw away -- the perfect world that we are longing to find again, the world for which we are all searching. In this perfect world God placed a perfect man. Adam was perfect because nothign that Goddoes can ever be less than perfect and upon this perfect man God bestowed not only the most precious gift of all--the gift of life eternal, He also gave him the gift of freedom. God gave to man the freedom of choice. More to follow tomorrow, maybe. If we're lucky. Out of curiosity, have you read the Enuma elish? |

Actually, burning the witches might not be such a bad idea. Heard they make lovely flames. Was thinking about getting an Indiana license plate today. They have these neat blue things that say In God We Trust on them. don't know how we do it, but we do. It's a way to get a mention onto the car without resorting to a bumper sticker or some such. I resent that. And I thought you were a nice guy! Oh well. No, no, you're just not supposed to "suffer a witch to live". Oh, wait...That's been proven to be a gross, premeditated mistranslation at the behest of James I.... It was the poisoners that were to be hunted down mercilessly and killed. Ohhhhhhh! Sorry about that witches! As you were.....Carry on. That's very interesting, I would like to have more information about that mistranslation so I could publish it in our local newspaper for the local churches in my town ... (who would like to burn me at the stake for being a tarot card reader) Weren't "poisoners" simply assassins back then? Today the "poisoners" would be the FDA and all their drugs with deathly side effects, and all the contaminated meat, and all the high fructose corn syrup in every freaking thing on the super market shelves. Burn them at the stake now... LOL Here's a very good, evenhanded writeup, including the relationship with pharmakos: http://www.draknet.com/proteus/Suffer.htm There are many other articles with views from all directions, but the general consensus is held that since James I was paranoid about sorcery and having spells or curses placed upon him, and although the Hebrew term used is vague & ambiguous (rough etymology analysis leads to "one who uses herbs or compounds to kill another"), he ensured that it was translated as "witch". |

Free will or 'Gods' will ?
|

There is no interdiction by God. There are interdictions by spiritual entities (including man) - good, bad, neutral, self-serving, etc.,etc..
Everyone knows that minions do all the work. The most popular use of the term "God's will!", is when something comes to pass despite fervent prayers in opposition, or when something so disastrous occurs that it causes the religious to question their faith - it's like a "faith failsafe". For the largest part, it's "free will" here on Earth, except for the minions playing games. |

Because it's optional, that's how they get away with it. Here in Alabama we have been 'graced' with the God Bless America tag. When I went to renew mine, here's the way it went: Clerk: "I'm sure you'll want one of these new GBA tags!!?" Me: "No thanks." Clerk (stricken look on face): "Why not?!!" Me: "Just the regular tag will be fine, thanks." Clerk (voice shaking): "But, I don't understand why you wouldn't want the GBA tag!!! Me: "Is it mandatory?" Clerk: "Well....No." Me: "Then give me the regular tag before you really piss me off." I got the regular tag. |

I prep up 9 10oz steaks with this:
Sautee 1/2cu chopped onions & 1/3cu crushed garlic in 1/8cu olive oil with a little (3tbs) red wine vinegar. Salt/pepper as you prefer. (I sometimes add a little soy/worc) Allow to cool 5 mins...Transfer to marinade container (I use a big Tupperware bowl). Slow stir, adding 4 beers (I prefer Sam Adams Boston Ale). Perf then submerge steaks. Cover tightly. For best results, refrigerate for at least 6hrs, or overnight. |

Are you running Vista? Have you run the MagicFix tool from their website?
QOS is located here: Right-click on My Network Places > Properties > Right-click on the connection icon > Properties. There should be an entry that says 'QOS' Packet Scheduler. If not, click 'Add' > Service (MicroSoft) > QOS Packet Scheduler. |

[They were killed by the Chaldeans, whose god is Lucifer, or Satan, or the devil. Chaldea is modern day Iraq. Which was also Babylon which is Baghdad today. That's quite a stretch....since the whole concept of Satan & He11 was developed by the RCC. The Chaldeans recognized the same pantheon as their source Mesopotamian culture - the Sumerians - whose stories (incidentally) were the origins for much of the OT (via the Captivity/Exile in Babylon). This original pantheon became the source for practically all polytheistic pantheons in the region (and some even farther away). The Chaldean Dynasty was notable for (among other things) recapturing Babylon from the Assyrians, and the conquest of the Southern Kingdom (Judah). |

(I've wondered if I should add 'Perpetually frisky' as well)
From my profile: -Respectable level of competence in the use of the English language. (sence is NOT a word) --Understand, fully, the importance & proper usage of the comma (,). -Honesty (this means in everything) -Absence of incessant joy and/or happiness (it's not sane, folks) -Possessed of a quick wit & a merciless sense of humour. -Question everything, but be willing to believe anything. -Have an opinion -Ability to discuss an issue without becoming personally angry. (I can defend any point, for awhile. It doesn't mean that it is my actual opinion. It's just a very effective way of exploring an issue.) -Adventurous nature -Reasonably attractive -PDA compliant Religion: Staunch adherents to any form of religious dogma need not apply. Spiritualism is OK; Agnosticism is OK; Atheism bothers me; of course, having no opinion bothers me more. Politics: Plus beaucoup points if you happen to be a TRUE Democrat (Libertarian). No Socialists, Communista, Fascists, Anarchists, Bleeding Heart Liberals, or Neo-Cons (oops, I already said Fascists, didn't I? Lol!) |

Do you have another PC that you can try it on? I use mine at work too, with no problems. No.. I do not have another pc. I've tried moving the magicjack to the back and front of the pc since I have USB ports on both back and front of my pc. They at magicjack told me to put it in back, because there is more power there.. I don't know about that though. More power? Maybe a milliamp of difference...They connect to the same USB Bus. I'd say the existing service doesn't like it. Also, check to make sure that you have QOS installed under your network adapter settings. |

Oops! Forgot one:
Heracles (Hercules) - Greek Demigod - Death by poison & self-immolation - Sacrificed himself for humanity countless times - Ascended to Heaven on a cloud (apotheosis compliments of Zeus). Add Krishna too...Didn't die, but did ascend after a job well done (according to the Brahma). |

Just for fun, here's a few other resurrections:
Dumuzi (Tammuz) - Sumerian (Hebrew) - Died, descended to Underworld, trapped, intercession by wife (Innana) grants 6mos of life/yr. Probable earliest known source for most resurrection myths. Osiris - Egyptian Deity - Killed by brother Set, first by suffocation (resurrected), by dismemberment (14pcs), resurrected (reassembled, except for phallus) after 3 days. Attis - Phrygian Deity - Self-sacrificed (tied to a wooden stake) - Reincarnated after 1 day into an incorruptible new body (the Evergreen Pine). St. Augustine was disturbed by the obvious similarities between this much more ancient religious tale & the Christian resurrection story. Adonis - Syrian Deity (probable inherit from Attis) - Died, rose from the dead after 3 days, upsetting mourning women nearby. Dionysus - Greek Deity - Virgin birth, torn to death by Titans and resurrected by his mother after 3 days. Mithras - Died, buried (in a rock tomb), rose from the dead after 3 days. Manabozho - Hero (parallels Gilgamesh) - Native American Algonquin sacred lore - Swallowed by giant fish (Jonah parallel); entombed within it's corpse for 3 days (travelled to Underworld), before emerging alive. |

The historical "God" was the equivalent of a strike team flying around in an assault helicopter, using a loudspeaker to scare the crap out of primitive life-forms.
<------ Powered Battle Armor didn't hurt their presentation any either. Or is anyone so naive as to believe that this is the first time around for an advanced civilization on this planet? |

I don't know if any body else on here has one, I do remember when asking about it before and some one said they had one, any how I got the 30 days free try out and reasonly hooked up my magic jack but the problem I am having is... the voice isn't as clear, noise like poping sound, doesn't seem to work to well with some phone number like when I call the bank etc. If you have this new phone system / service have you had any problems ????, if so how did you fix them ????. That was me, and other than sometimes a slight delay of 1 to 1-1/2 seconds (depends on where I'm calling to), I've had no problems & the sound quality is crystal clear. I have a high-end 5.8GHz cordless phone attached to it. What are you using for a handset? Have you contacted tech support at magicJack? |
