I find it tough to follow what someone is trying to say when it's all text speak, or they don't use any punctuation. I agree. To me, it's a sign of laziness. |

IMO, people that misrepresent themselves are looking for casual and not long term relationships because at some point they will get found out - they always do because they fail to realise that the wheel has already been invented. I donno Baby...I have always been a long term minded guy. But, I am carefree enough that people think otherwise. Lot's of people here think I am a slut, and I am good with that. My woman knows. I play the "Casual" card all the time. "Misrepresenting" is a valid tactic. Do you really want people to know know that sometimes you pee or shart when you sneeze? I don't want anyone to know. Honesty has it's place....but, it is only when you are in love. I disagree. There will always be those that read what’s on the surface and there will always be those that read beyond the surface. Getting back to the point, I date online and therefore accept that some/most people are fairly liberal with the truth. Misrepresentation may be a valid tactic and I accept that BUT what I don’t/won’t accept is out and out re-invention which is what some people do. These are the people that WILL always get found out (eventually). This is exactly what I'm talking about. |

we cant always assume that occasional misspelling in a casual forum means someone doesnt take more care in OTHER situations that are more formal ...... now, CONSTANT misspelling, may be a different issue,,, I'm not referring to the casual forums, or emails or chats where we don't necessarily take the time to double check our spelling, but on a person's profile where you have alot of time to make sure your entry is correct. |

There is spell check, which will help both native and non-native speakers. hmm, that seems a bit overdone, don't you think? Using a spelling checker every time? At least on your profile, I think you should check your spelling before you enter it. When corresponding via email or chat, of course we all make mistakes. |

I just wanted to find out everyones' opinion when viewing someone's profile and there are multiple misspelled words, especially when their profession says something like "civil engineer" or "government" etc. You would think they should of a higher education caliber.

Integrity, honesty, fidelity, loyalty, respect, fun, driven but not so much that he can't stop and smell the roses, someone who is as proud to be with me as I would him, someone I can't live without.

Its the scammers posing as other people that annoy me the most on here. I know i have my faults and im far from perfect, but they are just so deceitful and cruel to the gullible. Exactly!!! |

Its all a lie......actually its perspective....it's not necessarily a lie or misrepresentation......its your intake doesn't match there outtake and visa versa. Therefore, you see their version as a lie. likewise they see your version as you being a crazy psycho......see the pattern here.....it actually boils down to you are just not meant to be together. When you say you're 20 years older than you really are, I'd call that a lie! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ??? But what? |

So during this one "week", did the two of you decide your relationship was exclusive? If not, then what's the big deal. If so, then get the hell out. If in just one week, he's already cheated, chances are, he'll do it again.

Actually it kinda makes sense, you're supposed to sell yourself on here. A lot of people have a misunderstanding that selling = BSing. I consider myself to be a salesmen, so of course I don't think selling and BSing go together. I consider myself a salesmen, because I literally sell stuff online. It would make sense if people stayed anonymous, but that's not the case for many. There's no point in lying to get someone to meet you, because they're going to find out when they meet you. Most people that lie a lot, don't think their lies through completely like that.\ For example, I know addicts who lie constantly, they'll tell the dumbest lies, only thinking in the moment, or maybe a few minutes ahead at most. Someone who lies about what they look like, whether they're older or younger, their height and things like that must know these lies are going to be found out when first meeting. Some people have an illness which causes them to lie compulsively. They can't help but lie. hahaha, I was married to one of those. He would lie when it made no difference whatsoever what the answer was. He was a habitual liar. Yeah, it's a part of some mental illnesses, sometimes they won't even notice when they're lying. I have to agree with you there. |

Well don't you think it would be pretty obvious if you actually did meet in person and there's a 20 year difference in the age you are and the age you said you were? Well, some people do look pretty good for their age. :P But this person is saying they are 20 years OLDER than they really are. Sounds like "this person" wants to get laid by an older lady reallllyyy bad. I really don't know what his motive is, or I should say "was" because I have no tolerance for dishonesty. |
