9/11 clearly showed us we to belong there. That we need to take a proactive stance and not a reactive stance. You are absolutely right! We need to be PRO-ACTIVE against all those who pose a threat to us!! God Bless the Military Industrial Complex! Bomb Iran! Attack China Nuke Russia! Invade North Korea! Bomb Syria! Did I miss anybody? Did you ever wonder why the majority of American Military personnel support Ron Paul for President? |

I hope that Rush Limbaugh keeps up his attacks on women's health issues. I hope all the republicans keep up their attacks on women's health issues. It paints them in a very bad light and makes them appear tom be out of touch with main stream America. President Obama will win re-election for sure. RIP GOP I think the American people are aware that over 90% of women have used birth control at one time or another in their lives. For ther GOP and Rush to make an issue out of providing this at no cost to women makes no sense medically or financially. They are using it, or trying to, as a way to attack President Obama. Simple as that. I have seen the reports on the news of who they had testify before congress....5 guys? This is a losing issue for the GOP and they are suckersw for falling into the debate. |

I guess I'm not understanding the whole concept of what is going on with it. I hear people arguing the point that it should be free. If that's the case I ask why? Then I also hear people talking about it should be available to women. I wasn't aware that there are women who can't obtain it. Can't they get a prescription from a doctor? And I would also like to know if women can get it for free then why. Ant men get free condoms? I believe it should be provided free by any health insurance company that has any sense. It's cheaper to prevent a pregnancy/birth than to have an unplanned pregnancy/birth be charged to your health care plan. The pill costs between $15-$50 per month. A pregnancy can run into some real money....$150 per visit for pre-natal care and 5,000 to $15,000 for the birth. If there are complications, costs can skyrocket. Keep in mind, if you are with a company that provides health care coverage, ity's in your best interest to have the women in your plan not having unplanned pregnancies....it saves everyone money. Another way to think of it is...if you have Dental Insurance, most plans provide for one or two FREE cleanings and checkups a year. Why? Because it saves the plan/members money if dental problems are caught early on, before they become expensive to repair. It's cheaper to fix a small cavity than to put off a check up and require a crown later. The health care plan I am with (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) currently does NOT charge any co-pay for "well woman" check up either. It's beneficial to all involved to make sure women get their well woman checks on a regular basis. I love women and think we should take care of them as best as we can. It also makes good financial sense. |

Sheriff Baboo should RESIGN or be FIRED. He is in violation of policy with his behavior and conduct and has brought discredit to the Pinal County Sheriff Department. He has also been untruthful which makes him unfit for law enforcement. Very unprofessional conduct....you all need to read the entire article in the New Times. http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2012-02-16/news/paul-babeu-s-mexican-ex-lover-says-sheriff-s-attorney-threatened-him-with-deportation/2/ Wowser! We are in 100% agreement on this. Will wonders never cease. There still isn't a lot of proof then someone's word against someone else's. Did you read the entire article? I am really shocked that someone at his level, the top Law Enforcement Officer in Pinal County, AZ, would have such POOR JUDGEMENT as to post inappropriate photos of himself on the internet. Picture worth a thousand words. He should RESIGN or be TERMINATED. Just wait and see what happens..... |

Sheriff Paul Baboo was a rising star in the Republican Party. He was always on TV in AZ and did commercials for John McCain. He talked real tough on illegal immigration and was thought of as a real ultra conservative, go get 'em kind of sheriff. I believe he had 20 years with the military as well.
Now he turns out to be a phony, gay, illegal alien boyfriend, putting hose b into Jose. Posting photos of himself on a gay dating webite as "Studboi". More photos of him with hands all over Jose. What an embarrassment. NOT professional. He should resign. |

When I see discussions like this I think about a man I knew very well, a US Army veteran of WWII/Normandy invasion, a real hero, that told me this story:
He was recounting the first German soldier he killed in combat. As he walked up to the dead German, he said he was a very young man, probably 18, who had a belt buckle that had German writing on it that basically translated to "God is on Our Side". As he gazed upon the dead soldier, he thought to himself, "If God is on their side, who the heck is on ours?" |

Corsi is a whacko and Joe Arpaio is a jack booted thug.
That's the bottom line. I live in AZ and know them both. |

Obama against the Catholics

I am Catholic and do not see this as an attack on Catholics.
I see it as a benefit to women. PERIOD! People are making it a political issue. If anything, I would think more women in this country would be upset with the GOP and the Catholic Bishops for making this an issue. |

of the federal government telling us what we can and can't do, what we should eat and not eat, it's none of their business. If women want free contraception then they can keep their legs shut. Simple as that. I am so sick of FOX News telling people what to think. If GOP was smart, they would stop attacks on women. I am surprised they get any at all..... ![]() |

Jerome Corsi is an idiot.
He wrote a book "Where's the Birth Certificate" Shortly after, President Obama released his birth certificate, long form. Jerome Corsi's publisher was really p.o.'d and tore Jerry Corsi a new one. He said Jerome made him look like a f'ing idiot and had all 200,000 copies of the book turned to pulp. Obama should send Seal Team Six to wax Jerome's azz. |

Rather than concentrating on capital gains taxes it would probably be more beneficial to the government to eliminate all credits for capital gain losses...problem solved Screw all the BS about capital gains... How does that relate to the middle class??? It's these rich SOB's that know all about capital gains and how to game the system. F them all |

I agree with Peccy....Ron Paul has it right! And the funny thing is that he has the support of 90% of active military on his foreign policy....rest of GOP seems to be out of touch? |

RECALL Scott Walker
|
|
More than one million Wisconsinites have signed a petition to recall Scott Walker, representing the most-participated-in major recall effort in American history, and a number so significant that it is beyond any legal challenge. More then 845,000 signatures were collected for Rebecca Kleefisch. Signatures were submitted to the Government Accountability Board this afternoon.
The signatures represent the largest recall effort in the history of the United States and 185 percent of the signatures needed to trigger a recall of Walker. “The collection of more than one million signatures represents a crystal clear indication of how strong the appetite is to stop the damage and turmoil that Scott Walker has caused Wisconsin,” said Ryan Lawler, board member for United Wisconsin. “Scott Walker and his supporters tried to demean and marginalize recall circulators, but in Wisconsin winter, an army of more than 30,000 Wisconsin born-and-bred recall volunteers took to street corners, malls, places of worship, dinner tables and sidewalks to take their state back. The total of a million signatures to recall Scott Walker represents nearly half, 46 percent, of the electorate – and is just shy of the TOTAL votes received by Walker in his 2010 election (Walker received 1.12 million votes). In comparison, this figure surpasses the per capita participation in the effort to trigger a ballot initiative in Ohio last fall against a Republican union-busting effort, where 32 percent of the electorate signed the petition, and in America’s only other two gubernatorial recalls, in 2003 in California and in 1921 in North Dakota, the signature totals were 23.4 percent and 31.8 percent, of the electorate signed respectively. The attached charts outline these figures. Fun facts about the recall petitions of Walker, Kleefisch and the Senate recalls include: The weight of all of the signatures collected is 3,000 pounds. That’s two of the heaviest Wisconsin Dairy (Holstein) Cows, or 158 of the heaviest Badgers. 300,000 pages at 14″ each laid end to end is 66.3 miles. This is the distance from Green Bay to Oshkosh, La Crosse to Tomah. Stood straight up the petition pile is 128 times higher than the tallest building in the world. Stacked on top of one another, the petitions would reach 125 feet high, which is taller than the wings of the Madison Capitol Building (those are 84 feet high). United Wisconsin is the non-partisan grassroots organization heading up the recall efforts of Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch in Wisconsin. The group plans to continue its work as the recall campaign moves forward. ***** Bye Bye Scooter Hahahaha! |

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney tip-toed around the topic of his personal finances during Monday night’s Republican Party debate, but reporters covering the campaign trail in South Carolina have remained persistent in picking on Romney for his unwillingness to disclose his tax records. From the debate stage in Myrtle Beach, SC on Monday, Romney danced around questions about his income tax records, saying only that he would “probably” disclose them in the coming months but refusing to straight up insist that they would be published for the public.
Quizzed by reporters a day after the debate, Romney acted uncertain about how much he has been paying in taxes, but told members of the media that the figure was roughly 15 percent. In the top tax bracket, where Romney presumably belongs as a multi-millionaire, others are expected to pay 35 percent. Who does pay 15 percent? That federal tax bracket is reserved for those making under $34,000. "What's the effective rate I've been paying?" asked Romney on Tuesday. "It's probably closer to the 15 percent rate than anything because my last 10 years, my income comes overwhelmingly from some investments made in the past, whether ordinary income or earned annually.” While Romney could certainly find loopholes to keep his carried interest made off of his share of Bain Capital’s profits subjected to only such a rate, the rest of his income — which annually accounts for hundreds of thousands of dollars— should be expected to be a bit higher. The tax rate for those that rake in more than $379,150 in taxable income was at 35 percent in 2011. The candidate said on Tuesday that that wasn’t all of his income, either. "I get speaker's fees from time to time, but not very much," said Romney. What constitutes “not very much”? Less than a year ago in February 2011, Romney made around $375,000 for delivering only nine speeches, roughly equating to around $41,000 per address. Per 2010 statistics obtained by the US Census Bureau, Romney was earning only around $8,000 less for each speech than what the median household income was for every wage-earner in America. Romney’s actual worth is unconfirmed, but for his role at Bain Capital he is thought to have collected a fortune to the tune of around 250 million dollars. In 2010 alone, USA Today estimated that he made upwards of $38.8 million, with half of that being taxed well below the 35 percent reserved for his class. The only thing it would seem that Mitt Romney has with the average American is that they are, somehow, paying nearly the same tax rate. Somehow, however, Romney seems to be paying even less than Middle America. Tax expert Martin Press tells USA Today, "It's dividends, capital gains and maybe a little tax sheltering" that allow Romney to get away with landing in such a low bracket. If Romney wins the race to the White House, it could be even lower. I have been working the past week on my pesonal income taxes and recognized that I have been paying 25%!!!!!!!! F Mitt Romney!! |

WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON IN IA, NH, AND SC - by Bev Harris
Despite what you see about who "won" Iowa and who "won" New Hampshire and who "won" South Carolina, that's not the main function of these very early contests. What they are really about is culling down the field, promptly, and this is not really based on who wins. New Hampshire, and to a lesser extent Iowa and South Carolina, play a disproportionate role in removing your choice of candidates in the primary. While you watch the horse race in these three states, understand that if you live in any other state, you are going to have fewer candidate choices, or no chance to vote on the candidate of your choice at all. IT'S ABOUT EXPECTATIONS, NOT WINNING If a candidate "exceeds expectations" built by TV punditry and whichever poll is being quoted at the time, three things happen: 1. TV pundits start the drumbeat, building public expectations about "inevitability" of the candidate who did "better than expected"; 2. Donor money reroutes itself, pouring dollars into the newly inevitable candidate; 3. Media then reports on the candidate's prowess in fund raising, citing this newly found skill as reason to believe the candidate is even more inevitable. The reverse (fewer votes than "expected") creates an even more definitive result: 1. Media speculates repetitively on when the candidate will drop out; 2. Donor funds for the candidate dry up; 3. Media cites weaker donations as evidence that the candidate cannot win; 4. The party begins pushing the candidate to get out of the way; 5. Articles begin focusing on the cost of primaries in states where people have not yet had an opportunity to vote (underlying message: why do these primaries?); 6. Pundits begin the new drumbeat: "The longer it takes for candidates to get out of the way, the more damage to the party's prospects of winning the general election in November." SOUTH CAROLINA New Hampshire will produce an anointed candidate who will "do better than expected" to become "inevitable." Some of the other frontrunners will be hammered down firmly with "worse than expected"; all week long before South Carolina we will get treated to a persuasive TV pundit parade telling us what we should think. What to do about it? 1) Think for yourself and ignore the pundits. Stop letting yourself get persuaded by a politicized media machine. |

I thought the clear winner was Ron Paul.
But if you watched the FOX spin after the debate, you would be clearly manipulated into thinking the only people on the stage were Romney, Santorum & Gingrich. Made me sick after the debate, Sean Hannity, all he talked about was Romney, Santorum, Gingrich. (Mitt, Dick & Newt) Has the GOP gone nuts? Mitt, Dick & Newt? C'mon!!! FOX is really making me sick these days. Where the hell is the TEA Party now? |
