Sitting in the airport watching the plane depart, carrying the woman I have cared about back to her life - away from mine, taking her away from me... A tear comes to my eye, then another, I can't control them now. Thinking how much she has meant to me in the past, how much we've been through together, and alone. Thinking of the future, possibly, hopefully together, the feelings behind the tears change to a warm embrace of memories. Thinking of HOW, WHAT, I must do to NEVER have to take her to her departure again. Waiting so listlessly, like a puppy, for her to come back to US. I want to be everything to her that she is to me. I look up to the moon, so many miles away, and I think of the woman that I love in heart mind and soul. She is so very far away now, almost further than the moon because I can't see her or hear her voice, and I feel empty without her, but so full of thoughts of her. Wishing upon a star that we could be in each other's arms on this beautiful night, looking up at the moon together, feeling as if we are locked together in this time and place.
