I'm sorry for all the pain
that I've caused you
in our times together,
The things that I have done to you,
that I cannot forget...

You say that it does not matter now,
that time heals all wounds.
But, will a strong never ending breeze
bend the sturdiest oak?
Will not the constant flow of water
change the flow of the Nile?

I am older now, and I hoe wiser,
and in age I have realized
that you mean more to me
than the air that I breathe.

And in your arms I hope to be,
when I take my final breath...

Im sorry for interjecting here, but I feel that this poem written years
ago should not be given a FREE PASS to a friend that needs a FAIR
evaluation of it.

dont just suck up.....thats not a TRUE friend. is it?

She is a great lady and in love and very happy.

yes she is, and she is also a protector of her children.

re-read the poem.

I know her story, she has re-fallen in love with an old flame. They are
very happy now.

so, where was I out of line?


this old poem had nothing to do with forgivness, even though LA and
"others" keep it alive.

go back and re-read.


and I have spoken to cg just tonight.

It dont matter if she has "fallen in love" again.

she is a protector of her children now. and an old poem dont cut it.

but Im just a "new" friend of hers.

let me rephrase that.

Its great for scg to be in love again and it does matter.

I guess, this poem, if you really read it doesn't have anything to do
with forgiveness and would only tell you to say hey!!!! the first
paragraph is really scarey.

I havent made anyone do anything, it is their choice if they feel bad.

Im just pointing out that this old poem tells a story, and im trying, as
a friend, to show scg that she should put up her guard....that is what a
true friend would say....

just skimming poems or posts and then putting up love you icons are
doing a diservice to this lovely lady.


Im not trying to ruin anyones parade, destroy or hurt peoples feelings.
Far from it.

Being a friend of scg and reading this poem just caused me to
say..........

Wanda...you deserve the best and God wants you to have the best, and
will show you to it. God gave us all a compass...use it, to find your
best.

bearandwhiskey has given good advice.. not put downs.. its a very good
poem on how she feels and in it she dose have dought and hope and want
for her lover but BAW is right everyone should be careful remember still
waters run.

It seems as though some of you have misunderstood something here.. I
wrote this poem for her 14 yrs ago.. See at the bottom where it says
"Written by: elwoodsully 06/1993 for SCG...14 years ago..."

I had hurt her prior to getting sent to Germany in 1988, and was
apologetic to her when we next met in 1993..

Elwood, I am glad to finally see you here. Its nice that you two are
trying again. As for what others post? Seems they would need to know the
whole story and frankly I am sure it's far too long for here.

BTW, If I know Wanda she was trying to show someone else something with
how she posts.

where is it our place to try and interpret what someone elses intentions
were or were not in what they have written? If SCG is happy and this is
what floats her boat it is no way shape or form our business to publicly
put down what she has chosen to share with us if you can't be uncritical
then you should keep your damn mouth shut.
