You can fall in love a unlimited number of times. There's different kinds of love. People can come into your life for different reasons, and you can love them all if you want.

Why do some ladies become bitter and hateful when a man shows he is not interested in their advances? Because you are not supposed to tell women no! ever! |

Finding the 'right one'

I'm not usually the type to give up on anything at all, but I've decided not to look for love ever again. Why? There is much more to life than just relationships and sex. Maybe I just went through a few physical trauma's that made me realise that life is too short to sweat the small stuff. I will die one day, so it doesn't honestly matter whether I end up in a relationship. At the end of the day, I'm just in the present, being alive. Not being in a relationship is hardly a threat to my survival in any way at all. I agree it's not a life or death need, I am just looking at the companionship point of view. |

"Real men" and "real women!"

When I was very young, around 8, there was a question posed in class 'Who do you want to marry when you grow up?' Everyone wrote their (long) lists of what they expected their future mate to look like. As I could not see that far into the future, I wrote only 'I want to marry a real man.' This got all sorts of (unwanted) attention. 'What do you mean?' 'How will you tell?' I could not answer but stuck to my guns. The teacher passed this on to my parents, who would drill me about it all the time. So, in the family it became a game. Whenever a new man would be in our house, my Mother would say 'Is that a REAL man?' tongue in cheek, with a smile. I would go all serious, study him, listen to him, then tug at her skirt and say, 'Yes, he is a real man' or, more often, 'No, he is not a real man' with a really sad face. At first it was very funny, but I was always serious. As time went by, everyone would ask me to pronounce yay or nay. We would be at weddings, funerals, church and someone would always nudge me, point to someone and ask. I always felt I was right, although there were a few times I had to change my opinion. It is something unique about each fellow, and to try to define it, it was that whoever, whatever they were, they were themselves, and (though I hate to use the word confident) they were conficent that, that was enough. Perhaps it is that they meet or exceed their own standards, as opposed to anyone else's. They could be silent, or a jabberer, still it always showed to me. I had an uncle, wee bitty man, shorter than me, who, when he entered a room, immediately commanded it. I used to just watch him, to see what he did. He did nothing..he just..was. A direct look at you, very intense, it made one feel so special..a killer smile, his look was like.. a blessing, best I can describe it. A real man. ![]() |

'natural' beauty is still there regardless of what dressings we wear but some dressing covers whats there more than it illuminates it So what are those of us who don't have natural beauty to do? I don't know about you, but I just slap on extra make-up,lol |
