A selfish man/woman will remain friend (?) so long there is chance of material gain. (In my opinion) 
I have selfish friends and they don't ask anything from me unless you think asking someone to talk to you is considered material gain. Once he/she has to suffer loss, definitely he/she will forget of friendshìp. (As per me) I don't think your friends are selfish rather a well wisher of you. I couldn't agree more, I'm tired of fake friends who treat me worse than my enemies, at least iaf I had enemies we would avoid one another. I don't have any known enemies but I have some pretty rotten friends.

Women are good in shopping/bargining. Men give them company to carry the bag & bagage. No way in hell would I take a man shopping with me. I like to enjoy my shopping experience. He would just be pain in the butt. 
I thought you would be happy. Don't know a guy that enjoys shoppig with a woman.
