Final chapter to: Journey to the centre of the galaxy

“I know how they all laughed at you great grandfather, locking you away. And all along you were right” Menze stood looking out of the large curved glass viewer, starring into the billion cluster of stars at the galaxies centre, the place of eternal light. “All the time Great Grandfather Ezra, you were right” Menze had brought the urn of ashes of his Great Grandfather, something Ezra him self had wished, to be vented among the stars. But how did Ezra know that one day his predecessors would ever achieve that?

“It was unfair they called you crazy and locked you away, but here we are today, because of you” Ezra had been the shame of the family, he had been blacklisted by the state in his time. They'd locked him away and accused him of criminal insanity, truth was he dared to challenge the secrecy of the state. Ezra's own son distanced himself because of it and wanted nothing to do with his father and went and joined the navy. Ezra's son one day became a man of great repute, eventually setting up his own ship yard. But despite Ezra's sons successes he was always internally conflicted and angry about his Father.

When he had reached his heights, he had a fleet of ships of his own. Ezra's son also had a son, and likewise took over from his father investing greatly into a growing space industry. It was a huge undertaking, but he was quick to develop the company along the lines of all the new and emerging innovations in space technology, and pioneered space flight. No small undertaking, Menze fathers company was among the top 5.

It saddened Menze, that his Great grandfather had died pretty much alone, and that his pig headed Grandfather refused to see him up until his last days, and Menze's father wasn't any better. But Menze grew different, he had a fascination for his Great grandfather, something Menze himself couldn't explain. He had managed to get his hands on Ezra's notes, and felt a destiny of fulfilment in them. In some strange way, Ezra's quest for answers had brought Menze here and now, a number of light years away, floating above the centre of the galaxy.

Menze looked down into the cluster of the billion suns. It was Great Grandfather who had pieced it all together, who had pieced all the signs of the ancient monuments on Earth and how they pointed to and triangulated civilisations amongst the stars. The final glue was how they all pointed to a specific place among those billion points of light. A genetically coded message had been found among Ezra's notes. That same code had been detected being transmitted from within that cluster amidst all the background noise.

Menze with the aid of his on board team of scientists cracked the code and point located its source from within the cluster. The ships engines could be heard whiring in the background, the famaliar feeling of stomach churning could be felt as she, 'the good ship Explorer' changed heading and dipped towards her new destination. The light of the galactic stars shimmered in her wake, as space distorted and buckled around her. Once her course had settled, the queasy feelings subsided.

Menze pulled out a picture he had of his Great grandfather, “Where going to see what remains of possibly the oldest civilisation in our Galaxy and maybe our origins. Where going to finally be able to answer your question, your quest was never in vain, where here, rest in peace Great Grandfather Ezra”. Menze placed the picture in the urn, and put the urn into the air lock tube. Jettisoned, he watched as the urn streaked off into the distance like a silver shooting star into the ever enveloping darkness of space.

I'm no high level scientist or nothing but here's a curious thought, in the film Intestellar the black hole Gagantula(i think I spelt that correctly) was represented as a black sphere surrounded by light going around it presumably because it had just consumed a star. But I thought, hold on a minute, if stella phenomena such as our sun bulge at the centre because of its gravitational and rotational speed, making it oval looking because it flattens at it's poles and bulges at it's equator. Wouldn't a black hole that has significantly greater gravitational and rotational speed be even more disk shaped and flattened as a consequence?

I don't know all of the astrophysics, but I think the greater the gravitational index, the greater the power of its rotational and orbital speed. I assume then, that the flattening effect on a black hole sphere at the poles would be significantly more pronounced and would be considerably more flatten as a result, making a black hole phenomena look more flat disk shaped. Just a thought......

The trick is you're not looking at the black hole itself, all you can see from a distance is the point at which its gravity is so great that escape velocity is greater than the speed of light, called the event horizon. So you can only see an optical illusion generated at the point where this event horizon begins to occur, which is a distance from the black hole centre, necessarily the same distance from that point in any approach direction. So, spherical.

Yes but, doesn't the black hole spin? And faster as a consequence of its greater gravitational index? Fascinating, I suppose no one really knows for sure.

What about the subconscious?

You could be right, I don't really know much about the subconscious mind, perhaps it's something you could investigate. Anything that helps those of us who want to self improve.

Conscious self loathers:

I'd say there are two types, the conscious and the unconscious but their characteristics are roughly the same. The conscious self loather openly and 'negatively' critises themselves and dislikes them selves and others.

Unconscious self loathers:

The unconscious self loather is the one that interests me, because he is not aware of his self loathing. You could say he is not awake to it, he is not self realised of it's existence, he is asleep. This one is the most dangerous because self loathing is a form of self destructiveness and self sabotage. The one who isn't aware of his self loathing he is like a sleeper cell, a ticking time bomb.

He may be in a good position, or a place of standing unaware that his unconscious self loathing is a self destructive device set to go off at some appointed time in the future. An observer of such an individual would be thinking, “but he has a good job, he's got a good wife, family children, he's doing so well, why is he self imploding and destroying it all? He was so successful, so honorable, so upstanding, why is he now blowing himself up and everybody around him?

Unseen characteristics:

The characteritistics of self loathing are unseen for the most part, but partly felt by the self loather, and manifests through their thinking, self criticism and actions. For the religiously inclined, the unseen aspect of self loathing is called the 'demon' it is an unseen but negative and destructive part of a persons personality or character.

I think self loathing can be passed from generation to generation in the form of the inherited demon of self loathing.

Relationships:

I was once told I was self loathing for wanting to be in a relationship with a woman of another race besides my own. Whilst the individual who pointed this out was partly correct, and I understand where he was coming from, in terms of one having self loathing for ones race. One could easily be a self loather in a relationship with a woman of the same colour, it's much easier to hide behind sameness and to feel safe, and not deal with the seriousness of self loathing as an issue.

The loather loathes himself. It will always be an unbalanced relation for any woman regardless of her colour in a relationship with one who loathers themselves. Wether the partner of the self loather was black or white, the self loather loathes themselves, self loathing is about the self loather, its self'ish' in nature. They are often self obsorbed in their own self loathing.

The loather hates themselves, being in such a union with such a person would enivitably feel imbalanced, and even if the self loather is loved, they will invitably rebel at some point at the deception of being in a relationship that is not totally reflective of the way they really and truly feel about themselves. The loather has to come completely to terms with their own self loathing before entering into a more balanced and healthy relationship.

Personally:

Much of what was written has been attempts to come to grips with aspects of my own self loathing, I'm hoping writing also helps myself and others come to grips with aspects of this hidden aspect of ourselves.

The opinions written here are only the opinions of the writer, if such issues affects you please seek qualified and profession help.

This guy's really technical and he's an ocean physicist, he goes into a lot more detail about it here, and the reasons behind the physics.

Sorry your going to have to cut and paste, don't know how to make my links active on here yet.

Yeah, they really need to rethink housing design as far as hurricanes and tornados are concerned, originally I thought it was all about the wind, but then I thought the wind has high speed projectiles flying around in it, that's what makes those types of storms so dangerous. Trees turn into darts among other things.

Yeap! three hurricanes all in succession, Harvey, Irma and now Maria 2017, the scientists are saying they've never seen anything like it. frequencies definitely dropping apparently. And their saying theirs freakish weather going on globally.

As I said melting polar caps = more energy to feed storms.

Were going to have our own problems here in the UK pretty soon, unprecedented floods.

You can laugh at me if you want to, I've been laughed at before, but most things I've said to people so far have come true, and I've had at least 10 dreams concerning a massive flood in this country. I know that's not very scientific, and yes it throws my credibility for rational judgment out the window, but I think that flood is going to happen, when, no one knows, but it will happen.

The queue stretched omeniously back into the foyer, easily four hundred people plus. A mix of eager, frustrated and plain angry faces, bodies shifting from foot to foot ready to stampede through the door for the best seats. Under aged kids hid under the jackets of their parents, pizza's smuggled in what are not allowed. Oddly bulging bags concealing camera's. Women who profess that their handbags are usually that large. Groups of people who said their friends of manager so and so, and that you should you let them in, they said that at the last showing. Yeap, you hear and see it all.

The crowd swells forward, threatening to drown the two ushers at the gates. Ten tickets were thrust out all at once at them, cheers could be heard from the back. The ushers worked furiously to check and tear tickets all at the same time. Beads of sweat pouring down their faces, after just cleaning the screen from the last hoard who left it a mess, unceremonious heaps of popcorn and drink shrewn across the cinema room floor. Adults are just as bad as children.

Sweaty armpits under red suited jackets now faced a barriage of customers, “no sir, yes madam, do you want to lodge a complaint sir?” replied the ushers, On and on it went, all night.

Well here you are now, about to enter a dark room of visual wizardy, magic and wonder. A space of eternal possibility, imagination played out in the dark mind of a cinema projection room. There's no doubting the wonder of the experience, the moment the light dims, the suspence, sound echoing around that vast room of darkness, an experience shared with others like no other. Even after four years of working there, some how that never dims.

Looking at the moon through a telescope really is a wonderous thing to behold, okay it's just the moon like, you see it everyday, but not like how you see it through a telescope. I almost felt guilty like I just shouldn't have all this focal power in my hand to go peeping on our closest neighbour. You just get this feeling and you wonder “what's up there?” there's a certain pull to a question like that, like what's over there beyond the hill?

The Monocular is the cheapest and a damn sight lot quicker and easier to use, it does give some lunar landscape details you wouldn't be able to pick out with normal sight, craters, shadows. The telescope is a lot more challenging initially, and finding the moon through the viewer is a pain in the arse. Once I found it with my telescope after wiggling it around for some time, you have to remember the moon is moving and quite quickly to, so you have to keep adjusting the viewer accordingly. I've got an 'economy' telescope for my budget, it a mirror telescope and quite powerful and large considering what I'd paid for it.

I would include a picture but I don't know how to embed yet, I do take photographs with the monocular, I haven't quite mastered attaching the camera to the big telescope yet. Some of the views through that are just awe inspiring and absolutely stunning. It's a real feeling of privilege to be able to behold these things in ones life time, it truly is. Hoping to purchase my moon maps soon, when I can afford them, and get down to some real lunarography drawing compass and all. Watch this space.

I don't usually write outside of a specific category now these days, but I did hear stories about that storm hurricane Irma and thought I'd write this, thoughts and ideas welcome on what you think of this theory.

I'm not a weatherologist or nothing, but I did study physics once (physics = nature by definition) and I am interested in things like energy. I've not heard anyone to date speak about how much energy is increasingly available for these storms to feed on. There has been recordings of the strongest storms ever, if things continue as they are with increasing temperature rises and melting polar ice caps, I think it's not impossible to see the creation of the worlds first category six hurricane.

Energy is in a dormant state when it exists as frozen water or icecaps, but when an ice cap melts it becomes a more active state of energy. Problem with that is, that energy then makes itself available adding its self to and increasing the already available energy in the sea and the atmosphere. This then results in more available energy for storms.

Like in a fire, the more fuel is available the bigger the fire, there is an ever increasing amount of energy available to feed into and to fuel ever more powerful storms, floods, tsunami's and hurricanes and possibly all four combined. I think an event like that is iminent in the very near future. I'm pretty sure much the same way more electrical energy into a speaker will increase the volume and amplitude of the sound coming out of a speaker, so too will weather phenomena such as these become more violatile.

I know at some point, some cataclysmic event is going to throw oceanically large volumes of water onto the geographic land I currently live in, increasingly disturbing amounts of evidence now is mounting and pointing towards such an event. And there are plenty of maps online now predicting how the land is going to change drastically over the next 80 years.

Of course no ones going to believe it, until their actual city is literally under water.

There are plenty of films that have covered these things, I think the most realistic of them would be 'the day after tomorrow'.

For some it was simply too much, rows and rows of statues of loved ones etched in print and frozen in time, poses of their beloved. Every statue was life sized, some with blue tinted crystals inset as third eye's others had crystal hearts. Chans service was certainly unique, scanned 3D imaging of loved one and printed out as statues for their memorial stone. There wasn't any graves among the blossom trees, all was erily serene amongst this cemetery of the 'living' dead, frozen in animation.

Mkie and his fiance stopped in front of a small statue of a little girl with a beautiful smiling face and gold placard. She had angel wings, Mkie wanted it that way for his little daughter. A small blue red tinted crystal protruded from her chest in the shape of a heart, and ringed with gold. Her memorial statue was a tinted marble effect, although it was printed with something else. This was the hardest decision Mkie had ever had to make, but he didn't want his beloved daughter to ever die, for him, this was how she would live forever. So he had her cremated through Chans service and fused her cremated remains into this blue red tinted crystal dimond and inset it into this angelic statue of his beloved daughter.

“For our beloved daughter, you are so missed, we will love you and miss you always, may you make everyone happy in heaven as you made your mother and I, Daddy”....... A tear drop came to his eye. They both placed a single flower each in the flower holder. Arms wrapped around each other they made their way to the gardens gates.

Pretty much by now most of the really big questions had been asked, and were stored in the great national archives. Giant stone walls towered twenty stories upwards, Ezra never could comprehend why they had to make them so high, just thinking of the heating costs alone gave him a headache. Here were stored all the answers to the really big questions, all the place needed was some vandal to pull the plug. It was a place miles upon miles of books, crystal drives, quantum computing mainframes, and a vast store house of human pursuits, all in one place just waiting to get burned down. He walked down the aisles looking for this one book among this vast maze of books.

What was Ezra loooking for? His pursuits on human genetics had come up short, his original research was for a minor ailment, insignificant really. What he ended up stumbling upon was vast areas of restricted information concerning human genetics. What was being with-held from the public he originally wondered, but thought nothing more of it, and continued his study. He later found out what appeared originally to be a puddle was turning into a man hole. There really was some kind of coverup, vasts sections of the human genetic map had either not been recorded or just ommitted entirely. With the bewildering array of knowldege now at man's finger tips, he couldn't fathom why information on man genetics of himself had pages missing.

The technology to crack the furthest reaches of space and the mysterious of the universe were unfolding at a freightening pace. The world was now leaving the realm of science, and was heading into a world that looked increasingly like magic. But with all this phenomenal technological abilities, the genetic code book had blanks in it. He thought perhaps who had done this, individuals or organisations simply either didn't know the answers or had their reasons. And he was content to leave it at that. But it was becoming glaringly obvious that indeed someone had taken a rubber, and rubbed out relevant genetic information.

It later turned out that scientists had found more eggs in the egg box then what should have been in the box. Basically, they had found twenty five unidentified 'alien' race makers in the genetic code that wasn't supposed to be there. How did Ezra find this out you ask? Black market information, outlawed deep web among others. Ezra suspected there were more unknown 'alien' race markers than had been previously suspected at work in the human intelligence pool. It was at work at this very moment, but it simply functioned in the human subconsciousness on levels people just couldn't understand let alone percieve. He felt that there was a larger force at work in human development and evolution turning it toward a greater reality of which human civilisation on Earth was merely a part of.

The markers suggested fusion with higher and lower civilsations here on Earth and else where in the solar system, and possibly else where in the galaxy. It also pointed to the possibility that man hadn't originated on Earth and that it was possible he was either brought here or migrated and then inhabitated it. The genetic markers implied that he had crossed with multiple species over a vast array of time from diverse regions in the cosmos, or those species at one time or another simply came here over time and crossed with humans on Earth. It wasn't this fact that scarred the institutional scientists and powers, it was the fact that they couldn't control this greater unknown and they feared what they couldn't control. It was entirely possible for people to potentially manifest powers they couldn't understand, and these markers could be anybody everywhere.

It was percieved that for the most part, people were simply unaware that the markers existed and it remained dormant, unless activated by what ever power or consciousness originally that put it there. Fear of the unknown, fear of the things they couldn't control drove powerful men to subdue the information and they worked day and night to map and record every person everywhere in their attempts. They created the great eye, a massive network of constant monitorisation of every man, woman and child on the planet as far as their technology would allow.

For Ezra, this pointed to a different question in his mind, the complex origins of life and man. He saw the 'alien' markers differently to the men of power, to him they potentially connected many to the vastness of other life out there in the cosmos. These questions would one day point to the centre of the galaxy for the origins of mans evolution.

Further along in his quest he was to later come across a map of the galaxy, which amply pointed out the Solar system in relative location on it's great spiral arm. Ezra starred at this for sometime and he wondered, what if the civilisations got older and more advanced the closer you moved to the centre of the galaxy? What if you could get to that very centre, would you find the oldest most wisest civilisations living there? What would they look they? Would they have the answers to the beginning and origins of man in this vast and great galaxy, maybe even the universe?

Two energy shoes for the price of one

Sue was very famaliar with the solar FTL drive, they'd gotten it down to peak efficency. It distorted space within the ship in what appeared to be something similar to capacitors, and externally warping a spactial field around the craft, propelling it forward. But most scientists were just trying to extend the range of that technology. In her idea, she felt she didn't need to do that, the FTL drive worked perfectly just fine for it's range and limitations, as a good solar system transporter.

Solar FTL was a lot like a really good city transport bus, it got you round about the town, but you couldn't turn a city bus into a transatlantic airplane and jump the sea. That's what Sue needed, and saw little point trying to extend the limits of that FTL drive, what she wanted was a seperate and entirely new engine. An airplane that could metaphorically speaking, carry and transport her city bus over the sea, so it could then drive around in an entirely new city (solar system) with the energy it already had.

She needed two engines in her craft for the price of one. But her second engine didn't need to generate energy to go 'jumping the void' between the stars. It only needed to borrow some of the vast stores of energy present everywhere in this 'energetic universe' or more specifically ready made floating batteries in the form of stars and planets. An idea she thankfully borrowed from a friend.

She already possessed a city bus so to speak that could get her to the airport. All she needed was a special kind of plane that could transport her bus over the sea. The way she saw it, the vast network of airports was already in place, stars, and at a lower order of energy possibly even planets. Once she was in the next town over seas, unload her bus, and just start driving about again. This bus bit with the solar FTL, what she already had.

Dan Macky her friend had an idea, which was at the root of her theory, in his quantum world, particles would 'tele-transport' from particle point a to particle point b through self similar frequential and field resonance. In the theoretical world of Dan Macky, this he called quantum teleportation. He seemed self assured. Sue had wondered why something as massive as a star wasn't considered quantum energy but on a far more massive scale. She took Dan Macky's idea and envisioned connecting two quantum fields as stellar entities extending a quantum field around the ship, and getting it to quantum jump between two quantum stellar entities as point a and point b.

Why would she even consider generating massive amounts of energy now when there was this great big nuclear battery just sitting out there floating in space. There was all the energy she would ever need. And she just needed a way to get near enough into it's energy field. It wasn't just any energy, it was a great big ball of quantum field energy. All she felt she needed was to get inside this quantum stella field, and quantum-portation her craft to another star.

No travelling through space now between stars would ever be required, just the creation of a well known quantum field effect around her ship, and get it to jump like a quantum particle from one stella point to another stella point. Her engine would just borrow the quantum energy of the Sun's field, and make it reappear at another stella point of similar frequency to her own sun. If she could get her engine to achieve that, she would be the first female engineer and theoretical physicist to have successfully achieved the impossible, 'jump the void'.

It was in all the sci fi movies for the longest time ever so, everyone was famaliar with the idea of warp, but actually getting there was a stretch. The end result looked like magic and so common place now no one cared much but to batter an eyelid. Small cigar shaped crafts zipped to and throw around the solar system, but reaching the nearest star was still out of the question. If seemed the solars edge was the limits of what laws of physics would allow for now.

Well it would never be left at that, once a limitation had been reached, the goal post simply moved, and it was then just a matter of reaching for the next limitation. Sue, she took a different approach to the idea, being part of a more exotic branch of theorists, she had found her place amongst the more hippified idealists, she wasn't a hippy her self, but found their out of the institute box approach more interesting although taboo in institutionalised circles. Never the less, she took it upon her self to approach these new problems from the outside in.

Current physics limited them now to the solar system, and massive amounts of energy was required to jump the huge space between stars. No craft could generate such a massive amount of energy. Sue went back to her circle of hippy physicists and smoked pot to forget about all the formalisms of her institutionalised brain washing. She drowned her self in their free life spiritual philosophies, and surfed the endless waves of ideas bufting her floating surfboard mind. Her circle of wise sage, free thinkers or just simply self deluding fools, tiny people who felt they knew something about laws of attraction and electron universes. These people needed to go and get jobs.

As much as she enjoyed their cocoon world, she would have to once again return to the 'real' world and come up with at least an idea no matter how far fetched as a possible stepping stone to this quandry. And she did, but they weren't going to like it. The problem was always energy, and no space craft could ever generate or carry enough of it to 'jump the void' as they where calling it. But she had stumbled on an idea by one of her hippy philosopher friends, she was going to steal it, and use it, why not, he wasn't doing anything with it. He was just out there, they'd had high hopes for this guy, but he just flunked, and simply dropped off the map.

Dan, or at least that's what everyone in the circle knew him as. One starry bonfire night around the sandy beach fire he dug into his theory about quantum teleportation. Bottle in hand, bud in his mouth, sat half cocked, laid back, arm around his girl. Puffing rings in the night air, smug grin, and with a sexy ***** like that he'd had it all. “You see I got this thing all figured out like, you know, that whole quantum thing”. He gulped down a little more of what ever it was he was drinking. “You see, teleportation happens naturally” If he'd been in any other circle, no one would have grasped what the hell this guy was talking about, he would have been percieved as a wacko. But he was in good company, the company of wannabe dropouts and losers.

“I've got it figured” he started again, his girl resting against his chest with her arm nestled on his belly. Everybody else around the fire either looking at him, or the fire. “You know, atomic particles naturally jump in and out of space, they jump between two points of like resonance” and that was it. It didn't register to Sue all that much at the time, but it would later prove key, but that idea had to go through much phases of maturation in her mind. After that Dan started making out with her girl, you couldn't comprehend why, it wasn't guru speech, accept maybe to that girlfriend of his.

Okay, okay, so maybe Max's idea for the warp drive in his planes advertised to his company board was a really bad idea. He'd nearly been ousted from his company for it. His decision making and sanity was being questioned, and he nearly had to fight off a coup. The board was made up of stiff old people who didn't like change, and didn't see any point to make alterations of what they saw as already 'working' for that now to be replaced by Max's bombastic and fanciful idea's. Max faced a 5% dip in his shares and almost murdered with media ridicule. How it reached the media he didn't know because he'd never approached them. Max had his fingers severly burned and had nearly lost a digit or two. Bruised and battered he'd learned a painful lesson. He was going to do things different from now on.

He felt change was on the horizon, he was sure of it, but he didn't know what that was yet. He could feel it, but after warp his search had become forgotten meloncholy as he drifted back in the humdrum of ordinary corporate business life. He'd forgotten his wild dreams for change. Besides he had two girl friends to contend with and that was trouble enough plus all the work his bubbling business was bringing in. In would be two years before the spark of another idea would ignite again in his mind.

When Max's warp idea had fallen flat with the board, he had inadvertently created another smaller research company seperate and completely unknown to his larger aviation corporation. The board didn't know about it, and he kept it that way after the lynch mob mentality he'd already experienced over merging avaition with warp. This smaller unknown branch consisted of young minds who had been considered eccentric in university circles, but found a common place with Max since he was willing to throw small amounts of pocket funds at them just to tinker around his odd ideas he had on models and drones. For two years he'd forgotten about them, and hadn't visited the facility since his heartbreak with warp. But it wouldn't be long before his research group would once again spring to the forefront of his mind.

Again, it was as though his unconscious mind was still scouring for the answer, and it per chanced on another idea again, but this time in the form of graphene. Max was intrigued, but far more wiser from experience and looked at this new emerging wonder material. Once again he saw scientists reaching for lofty and unrealistic targets, probably the disease of science. They wanted a 100% graphene. Max thought, “I don't need a 100% graphene plane”. “What if it could just make one of my planes 10% lighter by mixing it with something, or maybe just parts of it?” That might mean a 10% reduction in fuel costs, maybe bigger lighter planes, maybe reduced weight. In his mind overall, if somehow the result was at the end of it all was a 10% reduction in cost somewhere it was worth considering.

But an enwisened Max wasn't going to go down the past route, no. It made no sense to try to retrofit this thing to a fully sized plane like he was thinking before, an idea that was met with scorn. Then he remembered his baby project research group. He was going to present the idea to his research team and it would have gone something like this “Hey guys, could you mix some of that new graphene stuff with some other avaition material and make a drone out of it? I want a new lighter material, a lighter drone”. With the research group all to it's self, Max's own money, and bright young sparks wanting to out do each other at who was the smartest, Max felt sure this was far more down to earth and measured than his last idea, this was the one. If his wonder material worked, he would start retrofitting parts in his planes, and would go largely unnoticed. But that's only if, his idea worked.

Max had a very radically different idea to all the other warp space pursuits, for one it was too damn difficult, space was hard. You had to get up there for starters, very expensive, very little public appetite for it. Your clientele were rich f**kers with snoobish noses making it a niche market, frankly there wasn't anybody who'd made much success of it. The whole industry moved like a snail, there weren't people venturing out side of their well established groves.
He didn't know anything about spaceships, but aeroplanes was something he did well. He watched video's of physics professor's, one in particuliar who was onto something. But Max felt their overall goal was like trying to fire stone's across the atlantic with sling shots.

No, he had a different and radical idea, using already well known and established aviation technology. To him it made sense, why were they trying to get the damn thing in space? Current warp theory stuff was better known thanks to social media, Youtube and else where. But a theoretical idea anything was never going anywhere unless it was an iphone, something people could feel and touch, and save money on. There was real appetite for that. His idea would save money, which mean't make money.

Max was going to find a way to put a scaled down warp drive in one of his planes. He was going to distort the space around it to reduce time in aviation flight and fuel consumption. In his mind his idea put a first step in front of what was otherwise a very high wall. If time was reduced distorting space, it might have taken less energy and less time to eventually leave Earth's atmosphere, second step. Perhaps you use that to get to the Moon quicker eventually, third step, and so on. Applicable now was the new in, something investors could grasp, and wet their appetite for. He set about his plan.
But there was unknown and possibly dangerous variable to Max's idea. He couldn't forsee what effect a warp space distortion field would have in close proximity to the Earth's surface.

He had heard and read about all the ancient myths of an ancient global civilisation that had existed between dimensions, a 5th dimension. But Tom didn't want that to merely exist in the past, he wanted that to exist now, today. He saw a world which potentially could exist in the fifth and sixth dimension. The sixth dimension being a world balanced on connectivity through crystals. "Why not" he thought the technology was there, in was already interconnected instanteously by information. He just thought why couldn't that same technology exist as energy transfer over the same networks.

A very immenent world where computers at least were genetically 3D printed and used low energy light photonic circuitry, and basically powered from the same energy source they were connected to, the internet. In Tom's vision, computer devices had become low powered and efficient enough to just rely on the internet also as a power source. A kind of oneness between the net and the machine, would have occured. Photonic circuitry only required light, and of course 3D printed crystaline structures implied the morphing of computers potentially into the sixth dimension, connected crystal energy. It was right there.

Distant aunt Mazia talked over the communications array, complaining about the constant werring vibration she could feel going on in the ground beneath, and that no one could pin point where exactly it was coming from. There were a couple more communications from her about it and then nothing! All contact had been lost, but not just with her, everybody from Hetrea. After many more futile attempts at communication, deep concern had now arisen at Hetrea's sister colony. A council was summoned to ascertain the fate of their distant cousins on Hetrea. It had been determined that the ship Asa and her grew of scientists depart at once for Hetrea.

Mean while Astro scientists continually looked through their telescopes but couldn't make out through the haze where the planet had once been. Some terrible catasphere had occured, but no one could fathom what. The large orb like ship Asa set off for Hetrea with her crew. Sublight space distorted around her wake fields as she went, the light of the stars buckled and shimmered around her.
When the team had arrived this is what they found and the account of two university survivors.

The lead scientist and navigators couldn't make out anything through the thick clouds of hazy dust and debri where Hetrea once orbited. They said something was there gravitationally according to the readings but it was no longer consistent with the planet they knew. The thick haze only registered two large gravitational bodies where there used to only be one. The chief navigator said she couldn't be sure if she could navigate the ship through the clouds to land Asa.

Sensors indicated large meteor like bodies were floating in what appeared to be a large electro static cloud of debri, some of the objects as large as hills and even mountains. "We would be flying down to the surface of Hetrea blind, and we don't know what's down there to greet this ship when we try to land" she said. A decision had to be made, the ship began its descent into the hazy storm ahead. The readings from the ships sensors didn't make any sense the scientist who glared at their readings dumbfounded. Was the surface now either solid or liquid. Either way they had to ascertained what was now the fate of Hetrea and her people.

The ship was heavily damaged on re-entry, taking battery from heavy debri, when she neared something seemed to be the ground, again she was being bombarded from falling debri from the shy. She was a tough science ship, but she wasn't made to navigate hell, which was what Hetrea had appeared to become. The navigator tried to find the ancient city of Mu with it's half mile high towers and levitating platforms. The great city of many ancient wise ones and scholars all with their families in their millions. Asa flew over a flattened rock beach where the city should have been, they couldn't find the city, it just wasn't there anymore. According to the scans in the haze it was as though some giant had scoped up the whole city with the land around it, violently shook it all about, flipped it all up side down and threw it back on the ground.

Asa and her grew could do nothing more but to continue the search, there were no survivors. The constant banging on the ships hull from falling meteorite was already fraying nerves, and the whole atmosphere aboard was of one of horror. The captain of the ship changed course to a new heading, a massive heat signature on the western horizon. As the ship approached, the horror worsened. The ship and her grew scrambled in vain for any indications of life, some communication from below, a structure left standing , anything. It was as though everything had been utterly pulverised. The constant violent Earth quakes below made it impossible for Asa to land.

6 hours flight time and Asa now hovered over an intensely white hot sea of molten lava, stretching as far as the eye could see, the sensors struggled to detect its edge. The planet was heamorraging molten lava, it had bleed out into space. The crew looked on at the scene of pure fiery hell before them. Meteorites fell from reddened ashy skies exploding a vast fiery sea below, lighting storms roared in every direction whilst pyraclastic tornadoes swirled about the waves of molten sea. Everyone on board Asa was shocked into utter silence and disbelief. Millions had once lived here, and now every one of them had perished in this catasphoic event.

The on board scientists had determined that significant amounts of the planets inner molten crust was now this massive molten lake they saw before them, Hetrea was bleeding from the inside out. "What has happened here" the captain demanded, the chief scientist stammered coming forward, "Our readings suggest what ever caused this terrible event has shrunk Hetrea by about one quarter, the crust of Hetrea has been shattered. We don't know where that mass has gone, we think the rest of that one quarter is floating in that electro static cloud we just passed through". "What" the response of an angered captain "what in the heavens could cause that?" "We don't know" responded the glazed eyed scientist. Asa could not land here for sure.

After some days collecting data, Asa changed course again for the last time, to a point furthest from the blast zone to see if any survivors could be found. This was a day journeys over painful sites of what had once been thriving cities and towns, now either turned to rock deserts or simply replaced with oceans. It rained continually slowing Asa's flight capabilities significantly, she was an orb like ship and ill equiped for these extremes. Hurricane winds never before experienced on Hetrea tugged and pulled at the craft, Hetrea had suddenly become a strange new violent world.
"Come and see this" one of the scientist shouted, through one of the viewing screens.

A giant angry orb could be seen terriffyingly blocking out huge potions of the sky, it was red and swallon and pulsed as it spone on its axis, cracked and glistening red, bubbling all over. "Oh great lord Zanu! Great mother of Tani!" people gasped on deck at this maleviolent site, and others rushed from behind to see what was now before them, "settle down people, we have a job to do, back to your stations" said the captain, but even the captain strong in stature trepidated in his voice, this was truly a sight of terror, awe and wonder.

They had finally found the point furthest from Hetrea and here some semblance of ruins like buildings. Bewildered people crambled through the wreckage searching for survivors and buried loved ones. Asa set down.

A survivors account

The Asa crew sort in vain to find any officials or scientist to ascertain the events on the ground leading up to the catasphohic event. Mostly they were only citizens, as what few officials there were had died. Eventually two female student scientist from the local university had been found wondering through the ruins. In their account of the events they said. Most of the students where at university when the event occured and died in the rumble. They only survived because they were on field studies that day and weren't in the vacinity of any buildings.

“Oh great mother, what has happened to thee, the ground suffenly shook violently, we were on a boat when we were suddenly tossed off it and thrown high in either direction into the lake. That's what saved us. The water rose all around us like a great wall, as though a child has tossed the whole lake into the air from a bowl. When we had climbed out, everything everywhere was gone, flattened. All we could hear was great mother Hetrea screaming and groaning in terrible pain, the ground shook violently for many days and nights. Then came the rain of rocks from the sky and slowly the sky started to blacked with ash. Nights became freezing, and the air heavy to breath. We sheltered where we could, but could find no officials to tell us of what happened.

She said there had been some kind of despute amongst the science council and that it had been split. Had the council of scientists turned their back on us, coming to blows and declared war on us all, on each other? We returned to the university, but nothing remained, and therefore couldn't find any communication device to contact any of the other towns. We could hear reverberations going backwards and forwards beneath our feet, in Hetrea herself.

Before what befell us, I think one of the chiefs of news said one of the scientist had fallen out with the others, they said his ambitions were suiting his own vanity and that it would lead to the eventual destruction of us all. The council cast him out, they said he had become angry and vengeful because he could not maketh the people to do his will. Non had heard from him for many a sun seasons since, he dissappeared and so forgotten. Do you think he brought this upon us?
