Internet relationships are usually more fantasy than reality. This should be posted at the top of the home page of every dating site. Except eHarmony, where it should say "We need all your money." LOL about eharmony. No way I'd pay for a dating site.

Thanks for all your input. I considered everyone's advice & decided that I would send 'one last email'(subject=one last time). I knew that he is was in the process of opening up a new restaurant & also that email can be unreliable (although he'd always responded promptly before). I guess having some experience with marketing as a consultant, I've seen too often that people get busy & don't return calls or emails & are really glad when I reached to them. Anyway, turns out, he had tried to call me, but didn't leave a message & I didn't see a missed call on my cell. So, we're going to try to arrange to meet this week. Just goes to show, you never know. Thanks, again, to all who responded. Hope it goes well and glad to hear he's still interested. :) |

Internet relationships suck plain and simple. In my experience, I have found that to be true. However, I have a friend who found her bf online, and they've been together 3 years. So it works for some. |

Internet relationships are usually more fantasy than reality. It's very easy to get all caught up in the idea of someone and to believe their words of love or whatever. Personally, I've never found long distance relationships to turn out to be anything more than just words on a screen or on the phone. In my experience, they don't go anywhere. Notice I said "personally," so all those who have found their "great loves" out of state or whatever, don't jump down my throat. If you can't find anyone local on this site, maybe you should try another one, or the personal ads, or maybe real life? Just a tip. Good luck and glad you realize people are only trying to help, since you asked for it.
