what does everyone mean NOT READY WTF ARE YOU WAITING FOR? TO GET OLDER? I see nothing wrong with them not being ready, it's just better if they realize it before talking to you for months and calling you everyday for 3 days to "confirm the date." But that's just me... |

What about when they just dont show up at all. That stinks, it happened to me. Well that sucks. Now I don't feel so bad. At least he told me he didn't like me anymore. It would have been horrid if he just didn't show up. |

That's the way it usually is for me, the ones who want me I don't want them and vice versa.

Tell him he's a nice guy, but you'd rather just be friends. He might be hurt for a while, but he'll get over it. It's nicer than leading him to think you're into him when you're not.

I wish that, just once, I could meet someone the was really honest. Everyone is saying things like "be yourself" and "take things slow" and "just start a conversation" etc., etc. ad nauseum. That's still not being honest. It's game playing. Period. If someone is interested in someone else, why the hell can't they just say, "I'm interested in you"? That's real honesty. How is being yourself not being honest? |

I'm sure you'll find it.

I don't think it's bad to wait, but what pissed me off was he kept obsessing over it, as if he really wanted to meet me and then he sends me that crappy email saying he wasn't into me. Whatever....

I've met a whole bunch of older women who I wouldn't socialize with simply b/c I was done with high school a long time ago. I even left that place early b/c of that stupid b/s... I sure don't want to deal with that ignorance now... Really surprised me too.. I thought I'd get along with them better. Come to find out I dont' get along with females that I'm not related to on most occasions. Me neither, all my friends are men. |

What traits are you looking for in these people? Maybe it's the pretty ones that disappoint you. I have a friend who's 21 and he dates the pretty ones and he says they all cheat on him. So I told him to go after the uglies. I don't think he will though.

Interesting, younger women with older men, and younger men with older women. It's all scrambled, LOL

So what are you looking for exactly? A long-term relationship? Marriage? I think most young people like to date around for a while before committing, maybe that's why you are having trouble, if you're looking for something more permanent.

I think you find what you want when you aren't looking. Or so they say...

I'm certain not all younger women are fools, just like not all older women are mature. I'm older and I think most of the time I'm pretty juvenile. :)

LOL, sorry. Eh, I think relationships are just hard in general. Most people aren't willing to give, they only want to take. So where do you find these people? Online?

Definately not ready to quit dating for him. He's nice and hopefully I'll kick his a** in golf on Sunday. Funny tho~ we decided to meet at a local sports bar and of all things, a guy I went on a one time date with was there. One time because he told me after two beers that he'd like to, well, you know.......it was a short date. LOL, that's creepy about the other guy. As if you'd accept. You should have told him, no thanks, I've never been that drunk! But cool that it went well. And good luck whipping his butt in golf!!! |

I think it's silly. If you're not ready to meet someone don't agree to meet them. Otherwise maybe you're not mature enough to date yet. Nope, not immature. I'd just gotten out of a long running relationship and wasn't ready to venture back out like I thought I was. I didn't wait til the LAST possible second...lol, but a few hours, when my nerves really started getting the better of me, yes. I'm human, we're all human. I think it may just be our gut telling us something's not right. Eh, I guess my thing is, I would have had to talk to a guy for a lonnnnnnng time to even agree to go out with him, so by then, I would know for sure. I don't know, it just seems inconsiderate to me. Its not like I planned it, and I did feel terrible about it. I just couldn't make myself do something that didn't feel right. Well at least you felt bad about it. A guy did that to me recently and he didn't care how I felt about it. So it's good that you did. |

I don't think that has to do with age, it has to do with maturity and honesty. You can be "older" and not know what you want, or you can totally know and not be willing to be honest about it. never had a older woman tell me she dont know wat she wants and i know most just want to settle down and be truly taken Eh, I think relationships are just hard in general. Most people aren't willing to give, they only want to take. So where do you find these people? Online? Trust me, I have friends like this, I call them fickle. They have no idea what they want. So it's not just younger women. well to my view it is or how i come across them not goin to be fooled any longer |

Well, it doesn't sound like a bad first date. Getting to know someone in person is a lot different than getting to know them on the phone or through email. And it's good he was nervous, I think, it means he cares. I'm sure the second date will be more relaxed. :)
