Well, I would, but I can't. The others....on the island...they get mad. (I really need to stop watching so many hours of Lost) omg..that show actually HAS a plot?? i watched it like once or twice..cant take it. seriously offends my sense of common sense versus utter stupidity. if i was on that island, within a week all the mysteries would have been solved, and i woulda built a boat so we could all escape.. just sayin.... to Tadpole..i never would have guessed you being an aussie. nice to meet you,n g/l with the search. also,in regards to the topic, from a mans viewpoint,i see the same thing as well. |

Yea silly. I think so too!! He is beautiful. Reminds me of a young Redford! But his acting is not quite there!! What happened to the time when looks plus Talent was it!!! The old time actors were truly actors!! check out The Mexican, with him n julia roberts..let me know if you think his acting wasnt top notch there...one of my favs. also, denzel washington has played characters ranging from dirty cop/good cop-to gangland boss,to ghost hunter-to political debate teacher....a bit diverse, one would think. |

thanks for the comments..not exactly what i expected..especially as its obvious some of the commentors have never read the narnia series..and yet still manage to make a decision/comment based on that..but o well.
sigh. and so ends my one and only venture into the religion forum. thanks again. ***************************Afterword************************ Although Lewis did not consider them allegorical, and did not set out to incorporate Christian themes in Wardrobe, he was not hesitant to point them out after the fact. In one of his last letters, written in March 1961, Lewis writes: Since Narnia is a world of Talking Beasts, I thought He [Christ] would become a Talking Beast there, as He became a man here. I pictured Him becoming a lion there because (a) the lion is supposed to be the king of beasts; (b) Christ is called "The Lion of Judah" in the Bible; (c) I'd been having strange dreams about lions when I began writing the work. The whole series works out like this. The Magician's Nephew tells the Creation and how evil entered Narnia. The Lion etc the Crucifixion and Resurrection. Prince Caspian restoration of the true religion after corruption. The Horse and His Boy the calling and conversion of a heathen. The Voyage of the "Dawn Treader" the spiritual life (especially in Reepicheep). The Silver Chair the continuing war with the powers of darkness The Last Battle the coming of the Antichrist (the Ape). the end of the world and the Last Judgement.[3] |

did you try going to chat options, and resetting the game speak?
im sure you have unplugged it a million times,is yours the type with the on/off switch in the wire? or at the base/plug? i have to unplug/plug mine in constantly, its the base plug version. and in system settings on the console, you can choose to turn on speakers and headphones at same time. this is very helpful if you have a sound system hooked up to your 360. |

Maybe that's part of the problem..you don't even recognize a good man when ya see one...cuz Um, he is!! One of the best on here.. i`m always impressed with Lewis-s responses and posts. big to him. |

There is a certain benefit to being a recluse
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time. Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone, the song is over, Thought I'd something more to say. |

sooooo anyways...on a lighter side.
lets say men are dogs..hypothetically,of course lets see whats so bad about dogs.. they pee where they want...kinda like men. they are loving and faithful, for the most part...kinda like men. they also love to go running out of the yard, and sometimes they dont come back....kinda like men.. they will adore you..as long as you feed them...kinda like men.. if they see another dog on their turf...its on!..kinda like men.. they Always check out the other female dogs...kinda like men.. they never clean up after themselves...kinda like men.. see where im going with this?? how else are men like dogs? *disclaimer* the poster in no way believes all men OR women are dogs..so save the hate and just relate. |
