Thank you to everyone who has posted on this thread. I know Tim has many friends here and it's so nice to see everyone wish us well. I can't tell you how flattered I am that he made this thread. He calls himself just a guy, but he's more then that to me.   
What a first date
I don't do them very often. And I really don't think I am ever going to have to do one again.
I wanted it to be something special without doing something " typical " or cliched. I'm REALLY glad that she likes baseball...lmao You are a lucky man, she is one of those "one in a million" chicas. 
Yes she is...and yes...I am definitely a VERY lucky man. After all the mistakes I have made in my life.... to get another chance at love with someone like her is something I would have never thought about. Of course, all those mistakes also taught me how to appreciate her. Awwww my two favorite Minglers posting about me. Doesn't get much better
then that!...you guys ROCK!!!! 
As far as the amazing things you have said about me Tim....I am simply blown away. I can only hope that I can make you as happy as I am right now.

Yeah, I am damaged goods for sure. Then again, I have known since a very young age that I was ment to be alone. Yes, I have given destiny the finger and tried to be a partner to no avail. (I would still be hooked up if I could just get past the fact that every woman I have been serious with gets the "Grass is greener" syndrome and tries cheating. Always the same result ......an apology and asking for another chance. I do not forgive. I do not forget. Unfortunately, past experience automatically precludes any delusions of trust. For years, my family encouraged me to find a woman and become part of the status quo. Now, my family have all taken to the path I walk. Everyone who really really knows me agrees that I did the right thing when I turned away from putting my faith in partnerships. Now it is easy. I have my place. You have yours. You get 1 drawer here. As a matter of fact, I am in the midst of reading the Alex Cross series. Gotta love James Patterson. But this is a geek thread, so.....hmmmmmmmm.... love Slaughterhouse Five. 
just got into vonnegut myself, and just finished an anthology entitled "If I Were an Evil Overlord" lol.... I played D & D for years, went to conventions, love cartoons, robot, chicken, titan maximum, love flight of the conchords, nature docs, stephen hawking.... Spent most of my free time in the 80's playing D&D, DragonQuest, Midgard, Top Secret, MechWarrior. Even had a subscription to Dragon Magazine. Methinks donating the entire 80"s like that entitles you to have your thumbs placed in a geek museum. |

Darlin, this shirt has got me so many phone #'s that it ain't even funny. But, now, it has a new owner...I gave it to my friend Phuque at her bon voyage party. Will match nicely with the "D**K MAGNET" shirt I made for her. Is she going to..prison?? Louisiana. Just trying to help her blend in. The large stain on the front probably really helped there. |

Yep! Date Hookup. It was my first chat site....I had no experience with toning it down and zero idea what moderators were for. Didn't help that the place was like a bar room brawl with boobs thrown in. After that I tried Plenty of Fist but, within an hour I knew I would never last..... then I found Nirvana....(Mingle) Spent my first month suspended (3 weeks of it at least) But, some of the mod honeys took mercy on me and stood up for me when other mods wanted to kick my mouthy punk @ss out.... Since then, I have become a model Mingle citizen and am now a shining example of what restraint, tact and decorum should be on this site............................

That person you care for, is the sum total
of who they were, who they are and who they are going to be. I like guys to be who they really are. This can be fascinating. Particularly as I have led quite a sheltered life. I applaud anything that gives life experience, I really don't care what made them who they are, just that they be it. No matter what they told me, I would honor their uniquemess, and celebrate the today. The past is insignificant, except that it formed them, therefore remembered, but not used as a weapon. |
