A year ago they posted a story stating a 13 year old Christian pakistani was raped by a group of muslims for the sole reason of being christian and the house was robbed and ransacked. However, the picture they posted of the girl, she was wearing a hijab and they listed her name.
Anyone that has taken a journalism class would know you don't name rape victims. Second, this girl was wearing a hijab which 99% means she wasn't a christian at all. After contacting Fox, they gave me some lame reason that the sources were wrong and soon after the story vanished from the website.

Gibbs slams Gallup poll showing record low approval for Obama

The poll, released Monday, put the president’s job approval rating at 47 percent – a figure that Fox News correspondent Major Garrett noted, at Mr. Gibbs’ Tuesday meeting with reporters, “is the lowest of any president dating back to [Harry] Truman at this stage of his presidency.”

In a blame-the-messenger moment, the press secretary, citing swings in Mr. Obama’s approval ratings in Gallup daily tracking data, said: “I am sure a 6-year-old with a crayon could do something not unlike that.”

Gibbs continued: “I don’t put a lot of stake in, never have, in the EKG that is the daily Gallup trend. I don’t pay a lot of attention to the meaninglessness of it.”

The Monitor has asked Gallup for comment. If the polling firm gives one, we will report it here.

Poll numbers bounce around, affected by events in the country and the world. But they do provide a rough guide to the clout a president has in getting his legislative program through Congress.

Falling among friends and enemies

Since November, when Obama’s approval rating was 53 percent, his poll numbers have fallen three percentage points among Democrats, seven points among independents, and four points among Republicans, Gallup reported Monday.

Gallup noted that so far in December Obama has averaged 50 percent job approval – similar to the averages of two presidents who took office when the economy was struggling, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. Other recent presidents, who took office in better economic times, had approval ratings of 57 or more in the December of their first terms.

Wow, well I would say that I try not to judge a book by its cover. I was more impressed with Baracks background than hers but I was impressed with her OPENING speech at the repub convention and I thought at that time they had made a good choice. She hung herself when she started speaking and seemed (to me at least) very unaware of what the job of vp or president even was or the etiquette of the position, very unaware of the issues, and very unaware in general.

she came across, as well, a model/spokeswoman, smiling and making cute comments on the surface but not offering much of her own to the issues.

Barack is and does come across much more intelligent and aware of his position and responsibilities, and not a quitter or a divisive force, but a uniting one. My observation of this whole period concerning the candidates is that those who prefer bullying tactics seem to prefer Palin while those who prefer diplomacy seem to prefer Obama. But that is just my opinion.

Except, try to compare him with presidents who came in with as many issues to handle with so much divisiveness and opposition in the ranks,,,oops, there has only been one or two....

The man has three more years and is working harder than any president has had to in my lifetime, but he isnt quitting or giving up, unlike so many so called 'real americans' set on judging him so quickly or so harshly. Those percentages change MONTHY so I am glad he keeps pressing on instead of sweating over them and over every single negative opinion posted in media or on forums.


He knew when he came in he would be watched and critiqued harder than any president in our history, he is a bright man with bright people around him, and by the time he has had three more years the country will be better for it, although the naysayers will be sure to find any of the 400 issues on his plate that werent completed to hold it against him.

Lack of experience doesn't bother me from either side, I just think it's hypocritical to dog pile on Palin and give Obama a pass.

I think it's principles that matter and Sarah Palin's principles are far superior to the current President's.

Palin claimed $50,000 a year in per diem expenses for plane tickets and travel expenses incurred for unofficial trips for her and her family.

She awarded contracts without allowing other bids.

She used unethical pressure to acquire verdicts for strictly family benefit.

She could not even finish one term. Resigning 18 months early because the stress from investigations into her unethical behavior was too high.

She shouldn't even be in charge of a PTA committee.

That's it. Side-track the question by using a trivial arguement.
