So you strive to be a dick? *shrug* He's right, though. A nice guy is proven through actions, not words. Can't tell you how many times I've heard how "nice" a guy is, only to have it proven false later. I'm not saying you're not a nice guy, as I don't know you. Just saying that "I'm a nice guy" seems to have replaced "I'm going off to war" as the line that is used to get some action. |

How important it is seems to be entirely dependent on the people involved, I think. People communicate using various methods, and show their attraction to each other in different ways. Some prefer to express their feelings in words, or in deeds, or with sex.
I personally feel that the ideal relationship has a balanced blend of all, but that's just how I feel. I know others who place very little importance on sex, and yet others who place too much emphasis on it. |

Hello and welcome :)

Almost as bad as a nice guy/good guy thread. mmmmmmm, I dunno - those are pretty bad! |

Yet with the exception of 4 and 9, SOME women, not all, but some women complain when men don't do those things. Love the stress on *some*, MM - looking to avoid a generalization thread? ;) hehe |

I don't know any men who do any of those things, other than being very close to their friends and family. I personally think that's a good thing, though.

It always sucks to have to do something like that, and I cringe in sympathy for you, Krupa.
A few years back, was driving home from work and came across a doe who had been hit by a car...she was alive, but both hind legs were broken, and she was trying to pull herself across the road into the woods beyond. I am a total mush when it comes to animals, so pulled over and called animal control, then sat with the doe by the side of the road until they arrived. She trembled the whole time, but couldn't move away. When the officer arrived, he had to shoot her. I felt like a fool for being upset about it, as I know it had to be done, but it didn't stop me from feeling bad. |

How do I nudge?

Look at her profile - just beneath the image, there's a "Nudge Her" button (orange w/white lettering). Pick a nudge, and there you go!
Good luck :) |

I love GSDs, and Atlantis is right - you'll spend some time trying to out-think your dog. I have a shepherd/husky mix, and sometimes I wonder if he isn't smarter than I am!

I tweak mine from time to time, because I have the same "what was I thinking" type moments. yep... I have those. You, Lex and the others have helped with the OGP thread! I was very new to dating sites/profiles when I joined, and just threw up the same generic stuff. I've revised MANY times thanks to those posts ;) |

i dont think they matter much anyhows For me, they kind of do. It's frustrating when someone won't bother to take even 10 minutes to list out a few likes/dislikes, especially if they've nudged me to indicate interest. If there's nothing in the profile for me to go on, or if it says "laid back guy who likes to have fun", or the dreaded "want to know? Just ask", I'm probably going to send my pat answer of "I appreciate your interest, but I'm going to have to decline". |

I'm wondering how on earth he knew where the nekkid photos of mom were?! Perhaps it's just me, but that's not something that you leave out for your kid to stumble across.

I got the blood tests and was menopausal. I started taking estroven (herbal over the counter meds) and they really helped. I had to switch to a low dose estrogen until I was past menopause. Good Luck! Estroven saved my sanity!!!!! Lucky me got to start menopause early, thanks to a hysterectomy when I was 32. I can't take hormones of any kind (not even low dose), but Estroven has really helped, especially with the mood swings. The doc suggested supplementing with B12 and another multi-vitamin, and things really smoothed out once they all took effect. MUCH easier than walking stark nekkid into a snowstorm to cool off, hehe! |

Lets talk tattoos

I have tattoos, but I don't view them as being either hot or feral, lol. They represent specific things to me, and usually take me 2-3 years (each) to decide to have them done. They're also not visible unless I'm wearing certain types of clothing :-)

I think that if two people care about each other, the age thing doesn't (or shouldn't) matter. Treat it the same as you would any other dating scenario, and you should be fine.

My ex husband and I used to own an old schoolhouse that we were turning into a house. It had tons of large windows, and one weekend our neighbor caught a couple kids throwing bricks through several of them. The neighbor called the cops and then called us. Estimate to fix was $7,000.00 but my ex and I decided that instead, we'd ask that the kids spend a day helping us clean up and fix some stuff. The parents complained, saying that it was unreasonable that we expect the kids to do "hard labor" because they were young (14 and 15) and shouldn't be required to do it. We said fine, here's the bill for $7k.
Crazy, parents teaching their children not to take responsibility for their actions. |
