I just busted two kids ,about 12 years old , stealing air valve caps off of car tires by my house. I got them to wait while I called the police, just to speak to them and scare them from felling free to do this. Then MOM shows up, tells them not to worry they did nothing wrong and walked away with them, gotta love mom

not only would my son have to give a real apology....but he would be in trouble with me when he got home. I don't get some parents these days

Sheesh...moms get their kids out of a lot of mess. But some messes should be handled by the law just to scare them. Those kids are going to grow up doing bad things and think they will be saved by "Wonder Mom"!

Well, go take the air valve caps off of her car and if she says something to you just tell her you are not doing anything wrong.......... I would have still called the cops and explained what happened and what the mom said. maybe the mom needs a little scaring herself |

I would have waited with you until the Police came and then asked the police to take them to jail. They had might as well get used to it. But I'm one of those Mean-a$$ mothers.

funny thing...I was talking to my son about how his cousin seems to get away with anything and the parents don't enforce things (unlike me). I told him "I know I was a strict mom" he laughed and said he didn't think I was. When he was about 12 or so....he got a smart mouth with me and refused to do his chores (got too big for his britches) so I stripped his room of everything but a bed and his clothes and he had to earn it back. years later he thank me for that because he learned to respect me and his privileges

Well, go take the air valve caps off of her car and if she says something to you just tell her you are not doing anything wrong.......... Two wrongs do not make a right. Unfortuneately he would most likely be caught; injured; or arrested on a number of charges. Not saying she did it; but if someone caught my kids messing with their car and tried to "hold them there until the police came" my first instinct would be to put some distance between them and the owner. Especially since I know the cops are not going to hurry about getting there and tempers can easily get out of control. Not going to risk their physical saftey over tire caps. Would my kids think they would die before they got out alone again? Yea probably. If I found the tire caps on their person then I would be in for a much more serious punishment. Probably being required to go with an officer at your residence and apologize in person and be subject to any applicable laws. |
