i don't know about you guys but i think Iran is quite confident that they either would be able the hide their nuclear assets (the ones for military use) with a disguise of civil development.

what do you people think about their move?

so you agree that you treat a decision between 2 neutral's and the one where your country is involved differently.
now honestly tell me is that fair??

many people believe it is fair up to a limit if so where is that limit?

sorry dude didn't read the first line properly

next question do you cheer your team at an event who's knowledge you dont posses

ill give an example to explain-
in India the sport is cricket is watched and followed but even if a person doesnt know how to play the game they will cheer for there home team.

me on the other hand will either not cheer if i feel the other team is better just as if there were 2 neutral teams playing

who is right??

Believe it or not people are unfair !! going back to my example how patriotism can be bad remember world war II

why are people making this into a us or non-us topic this has nothing to do with if you are from us or not

@tngxl65-dude job has nothing to do with English, my point is will it or will it not affect your judgment

The term gay was originally used, until well into the mid-20th century, primarily to refer to feelings of being "carefree", "happy", or "bright and showy"-wikipedia

during world war II many people lost there lives because they though they were fighting for their country but in fact now we know that it was just a person's individual reason's

if soilder's are educated they should fight for who is right not just blindly give there lives just because they live in a particular part of the world.

i never said that US was inferior where did you get that from?. even when i had this debate in school i said that their is a greater chance that us will select the neutral option rather my own country.i am not blaming anyone just asking for your views

sahil_231090's photo
Wed 09/23/09 08:51 AM
i disagree, people do treat people differently if he is from the same piece of land forget patriotism just answer this do you treat people differ or have double standards when it involes 2 countries out of which 1 is your own

reason for post-seen enough discrimination , read in history how people are fooled into fighting for an individuals goals by using patriotism

i have to say i haven't made my point clear to you. people should not involve from where they are affect their judgment they should be able to call there country inferior or wrong when it is

you interview 2 people for a job the 1 candidate is from your own country and the other is from another place. my knowledge says a person makes one out of 3 choices

3 options:-

patriot- will select the candidate from his own country even if he/she is inferior to the other candidate

neutral-will select the better candidate no matter what

ashamed-will select the other candidate even if he/she is inferior to the other candidate

so which option would you choose?

sorry for double posting please ignore the first line of my previous post

my question is should we support our country if it in our own views is wrong but we overlook it due to patriotism

sahil_231090's photo
Wed 09/23/09 08:13 AM
then why do you respect it?

their is a difference in being proud neutral and being ashamed which are you?

yes but haven't we evolved enough to suppress such things !!
