my advice...not all old sayings are meant to be taken literally.
sure it's a nice thing to say to someone during "rough" times, but suffering doesn't necessarily make "you stronger". ask a double amputee; ask someone with alzheimer's.(sp?) truthfully, hard work, consciousness, knowledge, resilience, diet & exercise...ect. these are the things that make you stronger. |
