Hey Ana! I'm new to this as well and I can say that in the brief few months I've been here that I've enjoyed the forums, a lot of really fun, cool and sincere people are here. I actually spend more time browsing the forums now than anything else.

Seeking Serenity after 40
|
|
I think for me, in my particular situation anyway, it was just "finding myself" or coming to peace with who I am and realizing I'm a good person, not bragging because I know I can improve with things but I just realized I have to be happy with who I am. After my divorce I felt lost, was deeply depressed and didn't know what to do with my life. Sometimes I wonder if I know even now what I want! What I have come to terms with is that I have my kids and I have myself, I started drawing more, playing guitar more and reconnected with some old friends and made some dear new ones. I think we all have our own view on what our serenity is, it's just finding it... Hope this made sense

Have You Ever Seen the Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival Maggie May - Rod Stewart Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons Ashes to Ashes - David Bowie Ha! I was just going to post Maggie May and noticed you put it up. Absolutely love that song, also love his version of 'country comfort' |

Giving out your cell number.

If someone wants to get to know you well enough then send messages on here, especially if you have a smartphone, you can just use the app. I think it would be ridiculous to give someone my number on the first message. I think most reasonable people wouldn't even think to ask for it right away. I agree - but most guys ask straight away. I always say no and try to get to know them better and if they get fed up of sending messages on here they can't have been very interested in the first place is how I look at it. It's better on the phone app cos you get notifications but a pain on my laptop. But to be fair the app can crash a fair bit so I can understand guys wanted to drag you into the world of Whatsap ![]() BTW love your cat. Exactly like my Tilly ![]() Ha ha, my cat gets a lot of attention here! He's my buddy, that's a typical scene, him on my lap or laying on my shoulder! It just seems silly to ask for a number straightaway, I completely agree with you! |
