when my father died of cancer...his doctor...a long time family friend told me quite seriously during a discussion that cancer loves fat....it thrives in fat....it is born in fat...he told me that cancer is all about what we eat...my father didnt smoke...but did love fatty fried food...

one of my favorite stories from history goes something like this:
one of the greek philosophers when visiting Egypt for the first time
was allowed a chance to meet with the pyramids priests for a

greeks and their society...only to be interrupted by the priests
who reminded him that they had heard it before and that what
the greeks did not know was about the previous ages of man...that man had
risen to the mountain top before only to be brought down by nature again
and again....and that this 4th age of man was subject to the same fate...
cycles upon cycles...circles within circles....

Leave it to humans to think they somehow have control over nature
and the heavens (I'm sure we can fix global warming on mars also)...

I believe the bible quotes the lord saying "vengeance is mine" ....now that well over a million on all sides have died in the "war on terror" ...has our eye for an eye obsession been met?...What will it take for people that support this war to be satisfied?...will mushroom clouds over Iran & Iraq make us feel more safe?....or are we facing vengeance from our own god..in the form of 20 yr old policemen killing whole families in an afternoon (recently in Wis).....What will it take for us to be satisfied in this?....the death of a culture until not one is left standing?...I just dont get it...never will....if we are just performing genocide on a culture and its belief system then the terrorists are us....you reap what you sow....I pity our children for the future we are creating...
