Of what will cause the downfall of America.

This is, quite possibly, the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Please scroll down a bit and watch the video.

You'll be amazed, and probably baffled, at the same time.

Methinks, Lex is just gonna LOVE this one...lol

I only WISH it was a joke.

I do have the same feeling on occasion.

On my walks, when I happen to pass a certain old tree, I usually put my hand on the bark, the world around me seems to disappear.

It feels like the tree and I have a conversation no other one could hear.

It is not a conversation in words, it's the energy we are exchanging somehow. And I do not have the words to describe the feeling either.

It's, yes, it's peaceful.

Sex helps make men evolve faster than women do

Scientists have found that men are evolving faster than women because of sexual promiscuity and the intense competition that arises in the fight to secure mates.

Scientists have found that men are evolving faster than women because of sexual promiscuity and the intense competition that arises in the fight to secure mates.

An investigation into the genes of apes and humans has found that male DNA has undergone a more rapid rate of change during evolution.

scientists found that reproductive genes - in men, those instructions involved in sperm production - evolved faster in human and chimp males than in females of either species, or gorillas of either sex.

the research, published in Nature, says more about the competition between men than the battle of the sexes. "The simplest explanation is that sperm compete for eggs but eggs don't compete for sperm," he said. "The pressure on a male to find a mate and fertilize her eggs is constant. Presumably, genes governing male reproduction are under pressure to evolve."

The researchers concentrated on the genes involved in producing protamines, which bind to sperm and are crucial for ensuring fertility. They found that the genes of chimps and men were radically different, indicating a rapid rate of evolution. But the genes of gorillas were evolving at a slower pace.

this is explained by the different mating strategies. Chimps - and possibly early humans - are promiscuous. Gorillas have harems where one male exclusively entertains a captive audience, thus are more sure of being the father of any offspring.

Update.

The nick in one of his major vessels to the liver was found and repaired.

Tony got 5 liters of blood, and now is on the mend with one more scar to show for it.

Thank you all for your support.flowerforyou

Yes, gas is still well over $2 a gallon. I'm not saying he'd have to pay for a date... but if he can't afford to join the site how is he going to get there? What if she wants to go for a cup of coffee and he can't even pay for his?

I'm just saying, it doesn't make sense to date if you're flat broke. As a man or woman. It starts things off uneven... which is a killer.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I wouldn't date if I didn't have the money to get there, get at least a drink, and then get home again.ohwell

For all who know jess642 and read her thread about her cousin's hubby getting a liver transplant.

He had emergency surgery about 3 hours ago.

He went for a biopsy and it turned out that for some reason or other he lost a lot of blood. It's either an artery, a blood vessel or the liver got nicked.

Jess642, her cousin, and of course her cousin's husband can do with all the support you can give.

I'm sending love, light and angels to all involved, and I hope it turns out well for them.

 hi can anyone tell me what to do next i am new to online dating and have just met someone do i give her my private contact details and what do i do if she wants to meet up how do i know shes not a scammer?

I agree with lonetar.

If she is really interested, the private mail on here or the IM facility should be enough for a couple of weeks.
If then you feel comfortable you can move on to private IM.
Always be wary that someone trying to get you off this site after just making contact could be a scammer.

I can’t help thinking that idealism and realism are rather philosophies based on the mindset we are born with.

For an example, I can’t see a person who is pessimistic by nature being an idealist.

On the other hand, I rarely see an optimist being a realist, more likely he would be an idealistic realist or an idealist.

Of course, there is no way for me to prove that it is so, and there are always exceptions.

It is rather a conclusion drawn from observing people.
