Do you have assistance now? For rent, like current?
You could bring these proofs to the hearing. And, you may be able to
work out a payment arrangement?

From what I learned over the past few years, the programs are still
there, but no the money isn't there.

It isn't just wiith aid such as rental, it all over.

Our school funds have come up short, and still an ongoing court hassle
as to where the money went.

Aid for heating oil is capped, and folks get it when the agencies get
it.

As far as I know, there is no agency willing to help pay rent on a lot,
or mobile, or modular home.
I could be wrong about the modular.

My own situation wasa bit different. The town did try to help, and Igot
info from women's crisis... but, the landlord just didn't want to deal
with it. And, his family had just suffered financial hardships due to
the flods we had at the time... And, well, although we had been there,
and good tenents for 7-8 yrs, it was still a business, and disability
was a ways away...(it still wouldn't cover the rent there, though) he
raised the rent so I couldn't afford it, lol. And, NH renters laws are
almost non-existant.

My daughter and I were forced to walk away, and we were homeless for a
good while..
and, because of the violence my ex was creating... landlords shied away.

First priority was our safety, and a place to go.

I had ZERO luck getting help from churches, or any other charity. United
Way is crap.

As bad as it seems, this can be a god thing!

I have found with my own stuff going on, I can filter through the
Bullsh*t much better.

Be up front, and tell it like it is.
Anyone whom cannot deal with it can step aside, yes?

There are really very few who will even think about the less than Ideal
for themselves...and, we wish them luck in thier lifelong quest for
happiness...lol.

I have PTSD, and have been up and down my whole life.lol

My son is emotionally handicapped, and bi-polar. As well as what they
feel might have been undiagnosed Apergers? sp
They are trying to find what works for him, and of course he has to
actually take the meds on a regular basis, which is classically not done
for severe sufferers. They feel good for awhile, and in thier minds
think "better" and either forget, ot stop taking them. Like with
schizophrenia (which they are not entirely sure he doesn't have a form
of...)
It is not controlled, yet. So, anytime he calls, we never know how he
will be. One day he can be coherant, we will debate, laugh...(he is
super intelligent)... the next he is not my son. He is gone in his head
somewhere, ranting, abusive, severe anxiety...

Folks are never as alone as they are within themselves. And, the cycle
can go on forever...

Regular counsiling (even touch based), and meds, and alternative
behavioral therapies help tremendously.

Each person is different, and will not react the same to all meds. Make
sure your doctor listens to you, and write things down ahead of time.

I know here in NH, alot of the towns... are college town, and there is a
lack of affordable family housing due to the fact landlords are buying
them all and making a mint of having students parents pay the rent...

Also, in this country, as far as I know, there never has been an agency
that keeps you at your current residence for long, and if it does not
meet safety standards...most won't even consider it.

So,you'd go on a waiting list.

When myself, and kids had to leave everything behind it was for that
reason. Rentals are anywhere from 800.00- 2000.00 a month, without
utilities included.

It took awhile (but not compared to some, I learned) to get
disability... even so, that's not enough to pay rent.

ok, pass the popcorn... this went from school time to school yard in no
time flat.

tomorrow is another school day for my daughter... I can listen to this
then.
