Tough choice, but I have to go on the vocals of Don Henley.

I like Henley's vocals too.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the question was "guitarist" not "vocalist". Or am I just being a stickler for details?

As a complete drummer who had the skills and what was the definition of a crazy rock drummer----Keith " The Lune " Moon even neil peart would agree He even gave Led zep their name.

I would have to hear from Neal's lips to believe it. Not discounting Keith's talent, I just think Neal cruises in the stratosphere & everyone else is somewhere below.

Joe Walsh. Not only does he have chops, but he's a funny dude. I met him back in 2000 when I did some fireworks for an Al Gore Presidential campaign stop, and he was playing there.

The one Eagle I DO NOT like is Don Felder. That dude is a jerk and a half. mad

wow. to meet joe walsh... that would be very cool.

i am pretty envious moof... first you meet joe walsh and then melody!

grumble

How does meeting Stevie Ray Vaughn or going backstage with Dwight Yoakam strike you?

whoa. stevie ray? damn... that beats joe walsh anyday.

if you told me you have met gordon lightfoot, i would be very impressed.

No, I didn't meet Gordon, but did attend 1 of his concerts yrs ago.

 "If I had a rocket launcher some sonuva ***** would die"

mirror thats not a song crazy azzlaugh

Yes it is a song. He sorta screwed-up the verse &/or title. It's titled "If I had a Rocket Launcher I'd Make Somebody Pay". It's by Bruce Cockburn. Here's the you tube link.

My vote for a Zappa song, although it's not an original, he's cover of "Stairway to Heaven" is just amazing. I've never heard anyone else come close to doing it justice like Frank & the group. I also like "Valley Girls" just for the campiness.

Buddy Rich hands down

The man was definitely awesome with the simple drum set he used. I don't know if he would hold-up to someone like Neal, though.

Moof you used to shoot fireworks? It's a super rush. 1 you can't describe to people. It's 1 you have to experience for yourself. It gives you a feel for what it's like to be part of an artillery battery. I had my license once & then an accident. Oops. If you need more details, write me.

who is better?

i choose joe walsh

Definitely voting for the fellow native Ohioan, Mr. Walsh. Check out some of his earlier stuff when he was with the James Gang, especially "The Bomber".

i guess i'll save the planet on my own

Pants:

Don't but into that man-made global warming crap. Do the research & don't believe most of what the greenies are telling you. Not to bog down the thread, but a report released last yr from the Admiral Byrd Institute based @ OSU stated that a polar core sample representing over 50 yrs of ice accumulation should no significant carbon dioxide impact. Meaning, the planet may be warming, but we ain't causing it.

I agree that more mass transit is needed. And believe it or not you have more options for mass transit where you are in NE OH than we do here in central OH.

Here's another 1 for you. What creature releases more methane into the atmosphere than any other, any it's NOT what you think you've been commonly mislead to believe.

This place is obviously your kind of scene... can't see why you are leaving.

I can see your point. I grew-up here & have had the opportunity to live in other parts of the country & you're right about the attitude issue & women tending to be more friendly in the south. A long time ago I spent a summer in TX & met some of most attractive & friendly young women I have ever met.

I have had women from the south point out to me that they when have met men on sites like this that the men from OH & WI were usually the most sarcastic & obnoxious. I tend to believe that it applies to the women in general as well.

Where the chip-on-the-shoulder comes from, I couldn't tell you. Maybe it's because the winters are so crappy here that we've developed the sarcasm to cope with nothing but day after day of gray skies. Sort of like the line from the Eagles "Desperado" "...the skies won't snow & the sun won't shine."

The attractive & friendly women do exist here, it just that they're like looking for diamonds. Not an easy task. Shoot, I've had more luck meeting women online in other states, who are genuinely interested in me, than ever here in person.

And I apologize for my fellow Ohioans who've seen fit to kick you around a bit when all you did was ask a simple & honest question.

Good luck with your search.

peace-out

Neal Pert hands down

2nd that motion. Maybe Neal Pert sticks down?
Besides Neal is a percussionist not just a drummer like Ringo. And John Bonham isn't even close. Listen to them side-by-side & Neal blows him out of the water. Can you even count the number of pieces he uses in his set?
Dude.... we should all bow. We're not worthy.

Ummmm Nein!! Póg mo hón!

He's speaking Gaelic. I won't ruin the it for you. I'll let him tell you what it means. There's a great story about Garth Brooks the 1st time he visited Ireland & when he asked his guide to teach him a simple phrase in Gaelic, this is the phrase he taught him. It's hilarious.

I am so pleased to see the responses to the affirmitive. I have a multi-culture/race family and it has at times been very difficult. Subtle predjudice is always much more difficult than when you know where you stand with people. Hopefully society is catching on that people are people and cultures are not necessarily oppositional and things will get easier for everyone.

Griffin is right about "race" being a '60's term & Pacific has it right when using the word "cultural". We're all 1 human race but with different colors. It's not like we're talking cats & dogs here. Not knowing everyone's background, but if you lend any credence to the biblical account of Noah & his family. We all descended from 1 of 4 couples that left the ark. So, put that in your pipe & smoke it you cultural slanderer's. I could name groups but I don't want to start a range war.

To answer the original yes I would, if the opportunity would present itself. Now if only "findme" was a little closer geographically. Hmmmm....
