Encroaching upon her private vessels
His battle ship comes into view
This war has moved from mere posturing
And now is beginning faze two

The sirens are blearing ALL HANDS ON DECK
The captain reports to the stern
The build ups been brutal with wounds on both sides
But the battle has taken a turn

The combatants move to a rhythm
Each trying to take it with force
The ebb and flow of the waters surrounding
Are following suit in their course

The stronghold has fallen the citadel spent
The battle ship steams towards the port
All of the energy spent in her conquest
Has left her with one last resort

A counter attack like scrapes down a back
Ambush by pulling him close
Then take hold his passion and give it a thrashing
While grounding his ship in her coast

The waves start to rock to the tick of the tock
As their soldiers entangled array
Becomes ever heated and control is greeted
By this battles passionate sway

Tides turn for the one then for the other
Both sides are taking their licks
The captain starts moving his ship to the one place
All of her defenses split

Full speed ahead with nothing to stop him
His liner cuts her in two
Her enveloping cradle of broken resistance
Has only made proud of a few

With is battle ship sunk deep in her fury
The captain no longer resists
Complete domination with no hesitation
The oceans it falls and it lifts

Both side are now lost in the fog of the clash
Heads spin with the fury of pride
To show what a capable fighting force
Each has for them on their side

The sweat falls from foreheads, intensity builds
Neither will accept defeat
Twisting and lifting and falling and trysting
The skirmish takes on its own beat

Soon both are so lost in the pounding aggression
Their crews running soon out of gas
The captain summons his chief of all chiefs
To deliver his boats final blast

Her final act of defiance emerges
She tightens her strangling grip
The captain caught headlong in process
His white flag it finally lifts.

So if there is anybody who can feel me,
Will you please stand up, for I seem to have lost my legs, or my hands
I can’t discern which
I am sliding through this suffocating cavern, darkness and warmth
My air has been drained
I feel as though my soul is vibrating out of my body
And my shell is twisted
I am pushed from my home
A wandering dog
Alone and hungry
Suddenly I am there
Only my head is free of its grasp
My lids have changed
It’s blinding
Strange new sensations finger over my awakening

I find myself in this room
The hollow shaft entrance scrapped with flakes of things unspoken
I can not speak
And these walls echo so well the emptiness of a fallen state
I’m being pulled down
The force of the inoculation to my new reality is stringent in my veins
How did I get here slithering?
Dust meeting me like a vapor tasted in my afterbirth
I look around the room
There are thousands around me, just like me
Unable to speak
Looking
Up
Down
Around
Yet I hear them
I taste the air from their wasted yesterdays and the sinews of the deliverance
That never came
A suffocating wind blows across my face as I try to step
The layer of despondency thick on the floor traps my foot
Sticky
Black
Lifting is impossible
The faces adjoining me all with the same expression as I
Looking back toward the shaft
Then back toward each other
Then down
Then back toward each other
For a moment I feel content to look as they
But only for a moment
I picture the gateway
Mold spreads across my eyes
The lids drip with sand
I look at my hands
The lines of time they contain are spelled out in calligraphy
How did I get here slithering?
I was the beautiful one
Not like them
Not like you
A panicked crawl sneaks up on me
Bites me in the places that memories cannot hide from
Discovers desolate villages with cores cored
My forehead, flush with dreams of lamentations
Bounces down rivers of denial
For a moment my vision clears just enough for me to make out
The iris of my stranger
Next to me
Looking back
Scared
Floods of his soul wash through the mirror of my mind
And I see him
His skin becomes my bed cloth
And I lie in his greasy myths
Stagnate
Imprisoned
I see myself in a way only angels and demons can carry
And I realize where I am
Why I am
Locked within four walls that are rounded
And carrying an obelisk
I picture the gateway
It’s showing me what I want to see
Choices of imperial delusions jump across my fingers
As nothingness is composed on a piano with keys of nakedness
And I see him
Next to me
Looking back
Scared
Shaking my head the blood caresses my thoughts and brings me back within myself
I intend to abscond
I try to take the hand of another to pull myself free from the floor
And they step away
The sudden contrast of distance zippers through me
The separation hurts
And that angers me
And my mouth suppurates
I picture the gateway
Unable to speak
But I beat unspoken words into the air with eyes that are the drum
I have more to tender than this rounded space can contain
My garden is too diverse for this climate
Shall I let the weeds consume my precious fruit?
Nay
Nay
Shall my seed die?
Die to live?
Nay, for my tree shall be a new variety
I raise my hands toward the ceiling and grasp at the spongy membrane
Pulling with all my might I scream with my third voice “You can not have me”
My feet rise above the mire
The atoms of my body orbiting tightly force energy to emit from the blades of my shoulders where the wings once died
And I make my way towards the gateway
Not floating, not walking
Almost as if I am not moving at all
But the gateway draws near as if my focus was magnified
I begin moving through the tunnel
Scrapped with flakes of things unspoken
Until I reach the threshold
For just an instant I think and I raise my head to peer out of the vortex
And I find myself in this room
I look around the room
There are thousands around me, just like me
Nothing but heads peering out of their vortexes
Unable to speak
Looking
Up
Down
Around
Dust meets me like a vapor tasted in my afterbirth…

The moonlight slips down to caress the dewy grass
Two lovers engage in a kiss, entwined beneath a blanket of stars
The moisture of their embrace fills the air with the fragrance of their love
And the breeze applauds their motions with a soft embrace of its own
Clothing is strewn about as flesh becomes one
The beating of hearts dance to the rhythm of the night sky…

As I reach the tired shores of oblivion a voice beckons
Come with me I’ll give you warmth
How is it that this stranger feels so familiar?
I turn from my quest to look
Only to see myself standing there, face to face with a place within me that I have long forgotten
The innocence of the eyes still wide with wonder while youth dances on the shoulders of belief
I cannot go with you comes from within me without my approval
The place where you live has died and is buried in the ashes of failure
The warmth you offer is the fire of laughing faces and places that have become shadows on my clock
But the smile remains on the face of this intruder and contrasts the gray that has swallowed the remains of my contemplations

I stare…

Feeling the cold spray of the inevitable against the back of my neck, I turn to face the depths once more
Fully intending to plunge a hand grabs at my jacket
Its not too late sings through the breeze that just moments before only roared emptiness

I stand…

Without the gratitude of a formal reply I step
One foot in
One foot out
Shaking
Contemplating this moment
I feel the cold enveloping my toes as the current swirls to invite me in
I dance slipshod through the conscience of my own mortality reveling only in its coarseness
Remember the voice
Remember the voice he says as he morphs into an anchor that will not free me from these rocks
And I become a vessel, beat against their shards, with entrails exposed, and my wealth poured out
Lying now at the bottom of the sea that I wish to become one with
The waves buffet
But the anchor holds fast
Why can’t you just free me I scream
Allow me to go to the home of all my ambitions and visit the relatives of my dreams?
Because I love you
Love?
Love?
Do you still subscribe to that channel?
Have you not seen the choices technology has wrought?
Love is no longer available in my viewing area.
Free me I scream
I am trying too replies from a source I can no longer discern
The salty sprays in my eyes have blinded me
It is so dark, cold, violent, familiar
Feels like home
Let me go home
