Bush against Al Gore was a tossup of two overstuffed turkeys. Bush without 9/11 would have been a one term president. Bush against John Kerry was the evil you know verses the evil you don't.

Does anyone really care if Osama Bin Laden is captured, killed, or vaporized? I don't. I'll be shocked if Obama brings any significant number of troops home the first year.

Telling me I should vote for Obama because Bush was incompetent is like saying I should date a new woman because my ex was a witch. In both cases one has nothing to do with the other. The Bush presidency is over. McCain will not lose because of Bush. He will lose because he's John McCain.

I've never met anyone with the guts to back up a move to Canada or wherever statement. Seriously, the idea that your country has been hijacked because an opposing political party is elected is juvenile. You vote and then your side either wins or loses. Or would you be more comfortable under a dictatorship as long as your ideology is in power?

Not voting are you?

I will vote for the lesser of two evils. I slept well under Reagan and Clinton. I did not have that luxury under Bush senior or son. Biden is right, either Obama or McCain will be tested once in office. Neither has the skills to guide us through the tough times ahead.

As empires start to fade they lose focus and choose poor leadership. If Obama wins his cult following will get the government they deserve. For a good reference point look up "useful idiots" in wiki. John McCain is a tired old man who will likely be ineffectual at a time when we need wise leadership. It's a doom/doom election that will leave America vulnerable and continuing to decline no matter who wins.

Hmm, I quit posting here, but it looks like you need a translator:

Ladies, you should avoid men who are domineering and put you down in
front of your friends or when you are alone with them. Those men just
do it to boost their own egos.
I urge you to tell them to pack up their *** and get out. Just
suffering with them will get you nowhere. The more you take it the more
they will heap their abuse on you.

Please do not apply this advice to good men, just the bums.

BTW,
Oceans5555 is a gentleman who knows how to host his own threads. He
politely gives a nod to all who comment, even if he doesn't agree. Most
of the posts I made on this board were just glossed over and many were
just buried by utter nonsense.

Sure, my comments can be used any way you want.

I will respond to any mail received but probably won't be around much in
real time. Love and hugs to all.

Ever been to a party where everyone's talking away in little groups? You
go from conversation to conversation adding your comments but they just
keep focused on their idle chatter. You stop in one room and they're
discussing religion. There are nice people in there but you're looking
for other things to talk about too. In another room they're talking
about politics, sitting in a circle listening to the opinionated old
sage. You're so tired of people passionately repeating the lies that
make up their political agenda, whether liberal or conservative. You
want something fresh, something positive. You move on. Ah, the
computer guys are trashing Vista, over there it's about parenting, over
there maybe they've had too much to drink and are talking dirty to each
other. Uh oh, those two are fighting, and I think that girl there is
leaving all mad. You remember that you were invited to the party to
meet up with a woman. She never showed. You stayed all night anyway
but never had a private conversation with anyone. So, you grab your
coat and you go. On the way out the door a couple of people wish you
good night and maybe one says they're sorry to see you go. The next
day they have another party and no one remembers the guy who came by
last night with his guitar.

Sorry, had to go out, back now. No, it's not goodbye for the night. I
enjoyed speaking my mind for awhile. If I had the time I'd stay to give
Oceans5555 a poke with a stick now and then. He's worthy, wish I had
him on my other boards to spice things up, the kind of guy you can argue
with all day then share some laughs over a beer when it's over.
Give my best to the commune. I hope you all find true love, peace, and
a big heap of happiness. Now back to my guitar.

Some of it was fun, some of it was educational. Best wishes to all.

If it's early in a relationship and the first meeting didn't work out I
don't see a lot of responsibility in it for either side. He may just
have other interests going on. I'm into the direct approach so call and
ask what's up.

The number one rule I have for people is to not have expectations and
not get attached, period. They have to earn attachment over a long long
time. When you're afraid of getting hurt that means you're going into a
relationship with unsatisfied needs and that means you're going to lay
too much on the person from the beginning. Don't have expectations and
you won't get hurt. (yeah I know it's Zen) Just enjoy what they have to
offer. There are millions of people within driving distance of most of
us. All you need is one.

Zen meditation works for me. My hypertension and anxiety was really
bad, not anymore.

Yeah, filters are so great, I tried to write to a woman who would accept
mail from people four years older than her not five. Yeah, that extra
year makes a huge difference, can't be too careful. Five years older
here, I could have been her grandpa, right?

Ok, done with my commentary.

I was dead tired after work, went to the back room and picked up my
guitar, played for two hours. Passion it is.

I'm too new to know old vs. new but I see it happen to others besides me
that their posts get ignored while the topic gets hijacked, over and
over again. On other boards a moderator will step in and get things
back on topic. I enjoy the free environment here, it just requires a
bit more discipline and maturity to make it work. While some people are
goofing around others may feel left out. I'm not complaining for
myself, just offering some constructive advice.

Well, since the discussion went that way, I'll tell you that she was
involved with another man. I said at the beginning I had a clear
Biblical reason to file for divorce. My pastor told me it was my
choice, I could forgive and try to work it out or divorce her. You
can't work it out with someone who doesn't want you.
