I see girls/women walking down the street in their Pajamas on a regular basis in Liverpool.
Such scruffy people..

I can't imagine that, I really can't. But if that's the case... it will probably catch on more here. grumble

Its in the middle of the day too, like 4pm and you see them walking around doing their shopping in the local store wearing pajamas.
Some people have no shame.

No shame & no class apparently. grumble

I wonder how OP can complain about fashion when she is wearing that goofy head gear??

Actually the pic, inspired this thread .
Guess I won't be defending your pic choices.. or the lack of laugh

So many people don't dress for the occasion anymore. Be it work, a date or shopping. If people are poor, that's one thing. Other people...
" What are you thinking!?"

I don't often much care what people wear. there are 2 times I wished people had made a better choice.
one was when going with my brother to the veteran hospital for his cancer check up. mom brother and I looked good knowing we're stopping for dinner after. my brother's nephew and wife wanted to go. the wife was in pajamas. the guards at the veteran hospital kept eying us like we were trying to steal a patient.

the other time was 19 years ago. we were baptizing my infant Godchild. my cousin and his wife, the parents.
we're all dressed for the occasion and thought my cousin's wife wasn't finished getting ready. she had on a beautiful top but the bottoms weren't appropriate for church. my cousin, poor man was looking embarrassed. he asked me if I could tactfully suggest his wife change.
ookaaay. I said comadre we're almost ready to leave. would you like me to iron some slacks or a skirt for you?
she said no she's going like this. what? is the priest going to kick her out?
WOW. so she went to her daughter's baptism in a white blouse with a ruffle and gold skin tight biker shorts that made her look nude from the waist down.

Sounds like ' disrespect & ego ', & she wanted to be ' the star of the church show'. shocked

What bothers me even more than the overly casual pajamas in public thing is not dressing for the occasion. Jeans and a t-shirt are NOT acceptable attire for a funeral, for example. I'm not a suit and tie type of guy, but have a few suits and several ties for occasions that warrant them.

Blatantly disrespectful in my opinion.
If they travelled a long way to morn & came for for the grieving family's sake.. maybe.
But I've seen women change into dress clothes at highway rest stops for family reunions..

I agree with OP....the pajama thang has GOT TO GO!!!
However, what truly makes me cringe is the slippers they wear (whether with said pjs or without). Slippers are slippers to be worn in the privacy of ones home/property, NOT out into public (yes, even the ones with hard-soles). YUCK!! frustrated grumble

Bedroom attire is a BIG ' no no' in public. I don't care how comfortable or absent minded they are .

Oh, I will look at your footware.

No better entertainment than looking at these. lol

Love the tail. Must be the new fashion statement.

It's NYC or LA laugh

I'm pretty sure that's Kentucky!

Oddly enough, it takes some bucks to dress like that... grumble

Money I don't have or I would dress more colorful! I look like a hobo!

Consignment Shops are your friend ...
I did it years ago. It is amazing what you can find,if you know what to look for. Some wealthy women ' just shop'. They wear something once,or not at all. many don't even cut the tags off.

I have to admit I am a bit tweaked when I have set up an interview with someone.
I am dressed accordingly well at least got out of my jammies.
In they walk in pajama pants and some shirt that looks like they have slept in it for a week or so.

It always goes through my mind..NEXT....

And those people are probably the same ones who say " Don't judge a book by its cover" & " Don't make snap judgments"....

Yea, well too late... laugh

None of that really bothers me. I have no problem rocking jammies at the store laugh but I have enough sense not to wear my bunny slippers

As long as they aren't "showcasing" (showing too much) it really doesn't bother me.

I like seeing people wearing their style

" rocking jammies" what
I was thing of some other adjectives.

"showcasing" noway
I couldn't agree with more .

Thank you Sassy. With all do respect I disagree. The scriptures I posted (Acts and Mark) tells me we are commanded to repent, accept Jesus as our savior AND be baptistized. Baptism is an act (work if you will) but it is included in these scriptures. Jesus was baptized himself. This is my belief and know others believe different flowerforyou

No worries. Just wanted you to know you are probably 'saved' already. Because you said ' am I missing something ?' flowers
