A sudden suspension of communication, no reason given.
Also, if she demonstrates a strong dislike or cruelty to animals. Even if you don't like animals, there's really no reason to take it out on them. They don't understand why, and that's the cruelest part. |

Ask yourself "What do I appreciate about him?"
If the answers are primarily physical traits - his face, his hair, his body, the way he makes you physically feel - then that's lust, not love. If the answers are primarily things like his emotional responses to things, his ability to hold a conversation, the way he makes you feel emotionally, his level of intellect and education, his attitudes about things you have in common (or, more important, his attitudes about things you disagree on), then that's probably love. |

I could probably date an ex-alcoholic. I can make damn sure they don't drink when they're with me. (Mostly because I don't do alcohol, myself.)
I don't think I'd be willing to date an ex-drug-addict. There are too many things that can go wrong later in life from abusing drugs, and that **** can stay in your system for a lot longer than alcohol. Alcohol wasn't designed to be addictive (well, not originally), but a lot of harmful drugs are. I wouldn't feel bad about dropping an addict who took up their drug of choice again, and I think if you're in a romantic relationship like that, you should feel at least a little bad at the thought of ending things. |

Inability, or at least refusal, to properly spell words is, to me, a sign that a person is willfully uneducated. Spelling is taught to children from the very instant they enter school, and if they cannot (or refuse to) learn how to spell basic words after 12 years of mandatory public education, then how can I expect them to learn other, more important things like philosophy, law, literature, or gods help me, the VCR programming guide?
Now if someone was born in a non-English speaking/writing country, and they were learning the language, that's something else. We need to give those who WANT to learn the same leeway we grant young children, because their language development is at a similar level. Misspelling "bad" shouldn't happen all that often, but misspelling "exhalation" might be slightly trickier. Even native speakers frequently get "they're/their/there" wrong, and other similar-sounding words besides. |

Does being nice pay off?
|

From what I understand of being nice, the people who are "best" at being nice don't worry about what other people think of it - they are nice for their own sake. Then, if being nice goes unappreciated or ignored, they still feel good about it.

More than one picture, for one thing. How about a color photo? Save the arty stuff for secondary, not primary, pictures. A more "natural" you is generally more accepted than you looking like a fashion model - on sites like these, people tend to think that fashion models are scammers.

This batch aren't really riddles... just math problems... But I'll go ahead and try the ones I can figure out anyway. "The More You Know... *ding!*"
1. 11 2. Circumference 3. True 4. 12 5. Do you mean "Can you include pi in a fraction?" or "Can a fraction be written so that the result is pi?" The answer of the second question is "no". 6. A trillion and one. Duh. (Or quadrillion.) 7. 13 8. A googleplex is a billion billion, so a googleplex. 9. True 11. True 12. 55 13. False 14. The median 16. 0 |

Thank you for that rousing burst of compliments to my gender, yellowrose10. I'd like to post a reply on reasons to appreciate a woman, William Shakespeare's Sonnet 130:
My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun; Coral is far more red than her lips' red; If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head. I have seen roses damask'd, red and white, But no such roses see I in her cheeks; And in some perfumes is there more delight Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks. I love to hear her speak, yet well I know That music hath a far more pleasing sound; I grant I never saw a goddess go; My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground: And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare As any she belied with false compare. |

Long legs or big boobs??

I cast my vote for long legs. Like being too skinny, there is such a thing as too-large breasts. I'd rather err on the smaller side just to reduce the risk of being smothered.
If I am going to be smothered by a woman's body, it's going to be in some other place. |

If you ban pornography, the only thing that's going to really happen is that it's going to become a massive, profitable industry that's now banned.
