Every few minutes it seems the page gets hung up for a while. Anyone else having this problem? Or do I just need to reformat my computer? Or use a sledgehammer on it...

solution is this
slow+computer+any body like me = sledge hammer it is one of the best ways to fix problems cause you usualy agree on something towards the end

It tells me that the site is under maintenance sometimes when I post. And then I go back and do other stuff and it's fine.
