#1 - If I'm not mistaken, the Church recinded the claim that Mary Magdalene was a Prostitute.
#2 - Jesus said he was here not to change the law, but to fullfil it. Which could be interpeted to mean he would have married based on Jewish Law. #3 - Yes, Jesus could have married a sinner, because through Him all sins are washed away. What she was before she found Jesus (literally) and who she was afterward was a different person. So yes, Jesus could have been married. |

great view point would....ty At what point did he mention the Movie???? it was her opinion about why I gave you that you believe Jesus was gay and couldn't have been married. although I don't see where yo uget that. "running around with 12 men" and being close to his mom doesn't mean you are gay..but if that's what you believe but other things you said had nothing to do with it |

Dan Brown never claimed that TDC was non-fiction (and he would have been wrong to have done so) but what I found interesting was that there are a lot of things that people believe are unique to Christianity that really aren't. Long before Christ there were stories of "saviors" being born of a virgin and then undergoing sacrifice. Isis, Osiris, Demeter, Vespatian's healing of a blind man and Apollonius of Tyana raising a girl from the dead.
There are more but Brown's book gave me pause and a chance to research a number of things that I used to think meant one thing and one thing only. There is a lot of great information out there about religion and origins of the beliefs and dogmas. -Drew |

You ever think with all the prophecies concerning the Messiah through the prophets i believe 97 of them that a marraige would of been one.Yahshua acted as a priest. A priest can not marry except a virgin or a widow of a priest. Why do you think the church the ones at the marraige supper, are all virgins?...Miles

but again there is debate over whether mary magdalen was a prostitute or not

could a rightous man marry a prositute and still be sinless?..Miles The Magdaline was NOT a prostitute..as mentioned already, there were 3 Marys....representing the original trinity of Maiden, Mother and Crone...the church has been very unkind to autonomous and powerful women, reducing them to prostitutes. In its earliest days the Church was totally dependent on women for its existence, which is why the appearance of Jesus before his wife/apostil Mary after his death, remained in the bible. Women initially gave the sacrament, heard confession, etc... Once the church became established and powerful it pushed aside women and eventually cast them out all together... That Jesus was a man and lived a man's life I have no doubt. The church stripped him of his humanity in order to turn him into an instrument of its own design. |

like I said before....from a documentary I saw...Mary magdalin was made to be a prostitute for a point to be made by the catholic church. basically to emphasize the point of Jesus forgiving everyone. But it's just one point of view
I think there is a lot possible that has been left out of the Bible. The Bible was written and recorded by men from God's words and men put it together Plus the ancient Hebrew language wasn't able to be translated completely There are words in the Hebrew language that can't be exactly translated exactly |
