Personally, if I want to have sex without a condom, we make a date to go to the clinic together and as a couple they will let you know if there is something amiss. That is the only way I am going bare back. I have seen too many young beautiful girls who are HIV positive and I know that guys will do them without a condom because they do not "look" like they have anything. I have heard to many guys say it, she didn't have anything I could tell. This is bad, bad, bad. i so agree with you, after seeing a 17 old diagnosed hiv posotive, it really made me think. only problem is, it takes 3 months for hiv to show up on a blood test. so to be totally safe you need to have swabs done, and you will need a repeat hiv test 3 months later. thats the only way you will know if someone is totally clear |

wth is this world coming too.... why are we speaking of teenagers anyhow... we need to be talking about the dirty dirty men and women out there in this world... making it unsafe for the rest of us to have our own clean fun... without worrying about damaging our health! many of us have teen aged daughters |

It is really sad. |

if you use protection you dont need to worry about your health. its your body, your health, so the decison is down to you. That's a foolish statement... condoms don't protect you from HPV, and anyone who receives/gives oral is at risk for catching anything and everything. Condoms do protect against HPV, if used during oral they are complete in their protection. They have classes to teach how to use them even during oral. I have been to them. I've been told by doctors and have read in health books that condoms do not protect you 100% from HPV or any other STDs... not sure where you got your info from your wrong. i used to work in a gu clinic, dont make yourself sound like a g.u.m doctor She is wrong? So you are saying that condoms provide 100% protection from all STDs? |
|

|
Condoms do not provide 100% protection there is always a risk of contracting some STD from saliva of the partner, there is also a risk of the condom breaking...still a better policy than teaching abstinence in school though.

It is really sad. Well, my 17 year old has been carrying condoms for years, replaced with no questions asked. I have been criticized for "giving her permission" but my experience is that teenagers tend to have sex. I am not going to live on planet Brady Bunch and pretend that my daughter is not a normal teen. |

I SAID YOU CAN STILL CATCH HERPES, WARTS, EVEN IF YOUR USING A CONDOM, HERPES AND WARTS ARE PASSED ON BY SKIN TO SKIN CONTACT. |

Come on Fear! You know if someone would have told you to "just say no" you would still be a virgin. Admit it - it works! |

So you are saying that condoms provide 100% protection from all STDs? No she is claiming that condoms do not protect against all diseases. Latex condoms are 100% if used properly and they do not break or are defective. The other kind of condoms the lamb skin or something like that are not protective against all diseases as they are made of a biological material that allows seepage or whatever it is called. |

CONDOMS ARE NOT 100 PERCENT, BUT NOTHING IS.

I did read the thread; she said they did not provide 100% protection and you said "you are wrong" and said she was trying to be a doctor. Stop acting like such an expert on everything and let other people question your authority. Ma'am. |
