I see that is an option for people to put on their profile. To me, it seems almost desperate. I mean, if you date or are in a relationship, it could potentially lead to marriage, right? Do you think seeing that could scare people away?
Oh and BTW, Im not looking to get married. Unless Erowid asked me.

I wouldn't necessarily desperate, but it WOULD potentially set up the poster for some disappointment. I've found that dating and the quest for matrimony are things you simply can't plan for, as there are just too many variables in place. You could THINK the one you're dating is "marriage material" only for something to happen and ruin things completely. In a way, it's one of those "cross the bridge when you get to it" types of things. |
