well, better than half the lies people put in their profiles, lol. If that is what they are striving for right off the bat, at least they are honest about it. Oh, and I would say most people on a dating site are pretty much desperate laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

I see that is an option for people to put on their profile. To me, it seems almost desperate. I mean, if you date or are in a relationship, it could potentially lead to marriage, right? Do you think seeing that could scare people away?

Oh and BTW, Im not looking to get married. Unless Erowid asked me. laugh laugh

Just kidding.bigsmile

((((((kitten)))))I will marry ya lol

Hi all! I'd have to agree on this one, but many times it's not even in the profile, it comes through almost instantly in the first e-mail, though.
"Hi my dearest", so and so, public computer, live with mom, in Cheboksary or someplace, great job, but hate it there, want the husband and it to have children. Funny though, it's so immediately and blatantly transparent, I'm sure they don't even get it. I tend to play along for a bit, as I prefer to actually wait until they ask for money, then report that e-mail to the dating scammers site, call it playing a player, or whatever. Just a little sumpthin' to do along the way, I suppose. Guess I need a life!yawn

Being marriage minded is one thing, but personally, I'd like to at least meet once or twice (and probably even dating for a while)before this comes up, otherwise, suspicions arise, and are not easily quelled! grumble Guess my entire, long winded point, was agreeing with this quote!

I agree 2, you can be marriange minded, but anyone with a brin knows it takes time to get to know a person, to see where a relationship is going.
