Well I'm certainly not an expert in this but my secretary has the same thing. A few months ago the doctor began giving her shots that would increase her chances of getting pregnant. After about 3 weeks of these shots she stopped because she was having hot flashes and decided she didn't want to continue. But what ever it was they were doing was so she could get pregnant so I know just because you have endometriosis it's not impossible to have kids.

First of all, you have to understand a baby does not define who you are! Maybe you need to find that special someone that you are meant to be with and try to have that baby. AND if you can not have a baby, there are other ways to be a parent. JUST because you are not their biological parent does not mean that you are not their mom. Do you realize how many children in this world do not have parents? Its very sad, so why not take an unwanted child and make them happy? You can love them and raise them as if they were your own child, trust me, I have seen it done so many times. If you have thought of suicide, you really need to go seek help. This is not a matter that you can NOT handle on your own, go get help right away. They have group centers and in patient places to help you cope with not being able to have a child. Before you go killing yourself, don't you think you better make sure you can't have a baby first? Thats just stupid to even think about killing yourself!! Do you know how many lives would be affected? Thats the easy way out, the cowards way is what I call it!! Just think, you could adopt and save 2 lives...SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? Good luck sweetie ive said this before, i dont want to adopt, i want to experience something i made growing inside me, i want to feel what its like to be pregnant. my point is if i cant have children, i dont think i could live the rest of my life with this pain. imagine being in so much pain you cant walk, or get out of bed. imagine being scared to the point, they tell you, you might have cancer, thats what they told me when they found a growth in my womb, luckily it wasnt cancer but a massive choclate cyst which took 3 hours to get out. the thought of having this pain and other things happening is horrible, i just pray i can have a baby, and all the physical pain, and mental pain was worth it. |

All I know about the fertility shots is that you get hot flashes and gain weight. I know two people that got pregnant with the shots. I am not sure but the shots may slow down the endometriosis like birth control pills do. |

And one thing I forgot to mention. She has a son that is 10 years old. A fine young man and she was told way before that that she wouldn't have children. So that happened before a lot of options were available. Her sister has endometriosis as well and she has 2 children. She's been my secretary for 7 years so I know her and her family pretty good. I had never heard of this until I met her. |

[/quote the side effects i would deal with, i would suffer anything to have a baby. but i do feel more posotive knowing there are fertiltity shots. and if that failed theres always ivf, which you get free in the uk, but theres a long waiting list, but appently the people with medical conditions dont want as long, as the people with no medical problem they just cant conceive. also they will only do it free a few times. obviously i would choose fertility shots first, as ivf is a very difficult thing to go through emotionally. i saw on tv, a lady she had ivf, and she got a phone call saying it didnt work, and she wasnt pregnant, that made me cry, ivf really seems like a roller coaster ride. i dont know if i could go through that. |
