I,ve only been here since December of last year, and by January, I did meet someone! He already has been here once, and he'll be back in 2 weeks!

I haven't been here long at all- but it's encouraging to know that there are some great people to meet.

Has anyone that's been here 6 month's or more actually met someone here, and gone out with them? If so what happened? When I first signed up here, I was really hoping to meet someone. There are many many local people on this site. I have never been able to get any of them (with the exception of a few scary questionable nutjob types) to talk to me at all. The locals don't post in the forums, and they don't answer e-mail, so there's really no way to start a dialogue with them. This is a great site for finding friends -- I have encountered far more truly decent people on this site, than on the other 9831 sites I've tried put together. Unfortunately, all the good ones live very very far away. I've accepted the fact that I will never actually meet anyone from here in person. And that's OK, because some things in my life have changed recently, and I am no longer interested in meeting anyone. But I do feel that it's sad that there are so many people here who refuse to make even the slightest effort to open up to others. |
