this is where your intelligence fails you...you claimed it to be the pictures they used as evidence at trial...you can't prove it from some blog unless you can authenticate it from the original taker of the video or the person who put the video together after authenticating the chain of command.....since your not doing anything all weekend you can go find the proof you need...

even if these are not photo shopped i saw onein there of a mouse they caught in an effing mouse trap... What is the big deal about half these? So some are naked. It's called strip search. American prisoners have to have it done when they are inprocessing. Most prove or show absolutely nothing concrete. Some may have been staged just for screwing around abd peiople read into them.

Many were on the news and the news stated they were used in the trials.

For those wondering what they do in American prison system, they do in fact strip search you then they put you through processing (shower, new cloths, bedding arrangement) after all that stick you in your cell with little to no more explanation. What do the al qaeda do to us when we get captured there? Don't know, but should we lower our standards to better meet their's? Torture doesn't get answers, it get's what you want to hear whether that be a yes or a random name. This is in most cases, not every case.

Madisonman, the fact that they were used as evidence says nothing about their legitimacy. They are just more cannon foder in a desparate attempt to prosecute american soldiers. Unless we hear the trial, and see bruises on the prisoners that correspond to these photos, we are speculating. To say that just these mere pictures prove beyond a reasonable doubt they commited crimes is unwise and unlawful.

for a moment I though you were a reasonable person. there has been no argument of the photos of abu graib being legitimate by anyone, the defence or the prosecuters. case closed

first as a medic I can tell you, like in the first pic the dudes naked right? but what you dont know it that medics, all of us, when there is a wounded person, american gi or iraqi, we cut off all the clothes, its faster than just trying to take them off of them, why do we do that, simple, to see where all the wounds are. Ive treated a naked iraqi prisoner before we sent him to detention center at camp ramadi and brother he looked a hell of a lot worse than that due you linked to.

the biggest smoking gun you had there was the water boarding pics, and you know what, it is more like a water pistol than actual gun.(follow the pun there- funny stuff) anyway... water boarding is definately a psyc trip than anything else, which is the big difference between our "torture" and theirs, water boarding AINT gonna kill ya, theirs will! so see how we're different.....

you make a legitimate point. We do need to try to uphold ourselves to higher standards. But as Doc said, my big problem is when people are makingit seem like we are worse than the enemy which is a FAR cry from the truth. It's gotten so bad soldiers are facing the decision of whether to be "judged by 12 or carried by six" on a daily basis over there. But i do agree with what you are saying.
