is atheism following some kind of belief or something cuz i heard that chick somewhere saying that since it is a set of believes and therefore it has got to be a religion by itself even tho denying the existence of any deities or supreme entity , what do you think?

A religion is not required to have a deity. A religion doesnt even have to be called a religion. It can be a force or a philosophy.

My dictionary defines atheism as: "Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods." I'm an atheist. Works for me.
