If you are going to read this thread, post and show some support for our soldiers. It's because of their sacrifice you have this liberty to come here in the first place. It is because of their hard work we have our freedoms. And I don't care what country you come from, your soldiers bust their asses for you and die for you, bleed for you, to have the freedoms and safety that you have, regardless the country.

Don't take their lives for granted.

Don't take our soldiers lives for granted ....

I am making it my new duty to really thank a soldier!

But outside of that particular soldier , I have been arranging meetings and luncheons with other soldiers here in Kansas so I can get Operation: Thank a Soldier on solid ground.

I have been collecting new things every time I go to the store.

My DVD collection is piling up, as well as the CDs and all the jerky and stuff I can find!

Can't wait to send it all out after Pesach!

I had an amazing night with my neighbor!

We literally talked for hours!
I guess I need to start getting him drunk more often cause usually I am the only one talking!

I love being able to have a decent conversation with someone.

He works for the Wichita Police when he is not doing the Air Force thing.

He is unbelievably sexy!

And guess what!

He had been thinking about me even back when I was dating my first boyfriend after my divorce!

He had some great insight on that one too. Wish I could have been braver to talk to him then, because that was a relationship spawned in hell.

He told me actions speak louder than words and he recalled the very first day I spoke to him.

It was a cold day, and he was warming up his bike to go drive it over to his friend's house so it wouldn't get stolen while he was in Tulsa for the Air Force, and I walked up to him cause I was coming back from taking out the trash. I played with his dog and had a nice how-do-you-do? conversation with him.
He told me last night that that was the day that he realise everything he had thought about me from watching me was not what he had assumed. To see me standing there in the freezing cold and shivering in just a tank top and pants and talking to him and playing with his puppy while he was freezing in his warm jacket and pants, made him think to himself that I was nicer than I appeared.

Then last night he told me that when I showed him an erotica story I wrote, he had never thought that I had that in me.

We talked for so long, my friends. And honestly, even though we both wanted to be more intimate, I didn't want to stop learning about him!

It was so awesome, my friends. It was more than I could have ever wanted or asked for.

Now, mind you, we don't know where we are going to go from here, but we both got our satisfaction and our desires met. Waking up next to him was awesome! And yes, though I HATE morning sex, we got that knocked out of the way. I just didn't want to have his wonderful warm body leave mine!

Oh, the stories I will write tonight! (Cause I have to work. I skipped last night so I could be here when he got home!)

I am not going to rush this.

It was funny, he said, "You know how you texted me that I make you nervous and scared and excited? It cuts both ways, baby. You do the same to me!"

We both agreed wholeheartedly that even if this doesn't blossom into a wonderful relationship with endless possibilities, that we are forever friends. I want him to be in my life regardless my status. And vise-versa. I find in him someone I can actually talk to. Someone I can confide in!

And his kisses were amazing!

I know, I sound like a little school girl! Sick in love! But I never thought I would feel this way about my neighbor! He is awesome! Who knew that something so wonderful was right next door?

I have a feeling we are going to be the best of friends!

I am a veteran. I know what sacrifices are being made on all of our behalf's first hand. It is considerable, from being away from home and friends and family for extended family, up to and including the ultimate sacrifice. Having said that, I urge those of you who read this thread to stop for a second to pay tribute in a line or two to those who serve.

May the Powers That Be look after them all.

Well My Dear Rapunzel i am the last of a dyin breed a superhero to some and the envy of others. I have stood up for people more then i do for myself for that is the way i was raised. I am a better man for bein here in Iraq cause its quite humbling in ways. "you dont know what you hace til its gone" well bein here has taught me that and how to value the life you have. But Growin up Momma told me "ever mind those around you for a friend is better then noone at all. She told me of respect for others and those who served. I was know to all the homeless in Pheonix Az for i gave them a warm meal or the money to get one. I have met few like me and even fewer women who like a man like me.
