Missing cat found in owner's lost suitcase Associated Press - January 23, 2008 9:45 AM ET Corrected Version DALLAS (AP) - Rob Carter got the shock of his life when he started to unpack in his Fort Worth bedroom after a trip. The fact that the clothes inside the suitcase weren't his were a surprise. The shock came when a kitten jumped from the suitcase and ran under his bed. Carter tells The Dallas Morning News "I screamed like a little girl." It turns out he'd picked up the wrong bag at a Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport baggage carousel after arriving on a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The cat was a 10-month-old tabby named Gracie Mae, who belonged to Kelly Levy of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She says her husband, Seth Levy, was on the same flight as Carter and their similar-looking bags got confused. Carter says he eventually coaxed the kitten from under his bed and called the phone number on her collar. He says he "got a hold of the crying wife of the traveler." Gracie Mae's back home now. aaaawwww!!! |

I lost my cat once! It was the sadest day of my life. I think I didn't shed one tear when my ex-wife left, but my cat. I still miss his ass. He was an orange tabby and he use to just chill in my lap every evening.

People can become very attached to their pets. My neighbor told me her cat was diagnosed with cancer by her vet and she was going to eventually have to put her to sleep. She then said "I wonder how they determined that she had cancer anyway" in which I replied "maybe they did a CAT SCAN" My neighbor hasn't spoken to me since.
