I am speaking of Christianity and what it teaches... Jesus Christ is the savior... 'God' answers prayers... I make valid points... With very little if any emotional attachment... There are at least three people in this thread who have made personal assumptions about me... wrongful ones at that... Yet I am the who is presumptive? Quote my words if you would, because I sure do not reciognize the feelings that you, my dear Rapunzel have attempted to attribute to my person... Quote me...

I am answering the following in a loving kind way......not to start arguments....but they are ligit questions.
Do you really believe that your 'God' meddles in your human affairs? That your 'God' answers your prayers? ANSWER: Without a doubt he does. Every prayer I have prayed has been answered. Why would a 'God' answer your prayers? ANSWER: Because he loves me......and not always answered when I want them.........When he sees fit not myself. Because you accepted the notion of Jesus Christ? ANSWER: Most assuredly yes. yes yes and yes Do you really believe that one is so much more special to 'God', because they are a 'Christian', and this 'God' would actually answer your prayers because of this? ANSWER: No I believe he loves everyone, and if my faith in him is so strong, why wouldn't he answer my prayers. Why don't you ask some of the people that I have prayed for here.....if they believe that my prayers are answered. That is insane... ANSWER: And to me it's sad that you don't believe this. I can only go by what has happened in my life.......and so for you to call me insane because I love the Lord God and he answers my prayers.....I think not. Why do I believe this to be the case, you may ask?... God does not answer your personal prayers... ANSWER: I am living proof that he does. While you are praying for something... anything... there are many others who are praying just as hard if not harder than you are, who are not getting their prayers answered, and their life is torture. Day in and day out... TORTURE... What do you tell them of this all-loving 'God' you believe in?... What do you say to the ones who do not get their prayers answered???? ANSWER: I say to pray without ceasing, that God has a reason for all He does, and it may benefit you or someone else for the prayer to wait...It's on Gods terms not yours.....But I won't stop praying for you either. Thats what I would say....and then I would pray right then and there for them. Senseless 'evil'... needless 'evil'... While you are praying, and believing that God is answering your prayers... think about this... What would you say to the little 7 year old girl who is getting molested by someone over and over and over and over and over and over while you actually believe that 'God' is answering your prayers... ANSWER: God is not molesting that child.....Why is it that people want to always blame God for the cruelty of the world...Maybe taking power away from satan might be a better approach..... Wake up and open your eyes, look around... No Christian is any more important than anyone else in this world... There is no such thing as a loving 'God' who answers your prayers... If there were such a thing as a loving 'God' who answered the prayers of people who deserved for them to be answered it would be that little girl... Your Christian 'God' is no loving 'God'... is no 'God' at all... ANSWER: Such anger Creative. Believe me you......get mad at the right source here....God is Love and all the bad nasty of this world is not of him......Lets take all your questions and instead of God replace with satan where applies...I think you might be able to answer the injustices of the world a lil better that way. |

Who is blaming 'God'? Why do you insist on saying that I am angry? I am at a loss here... a complete loss... Why do you people who are trying to defend your religion not answer the questions at hand... Moreover, why do you insist on placing words in my mouth and emotions into my being which are not there? Most importantly.... What makes your prayers more important than that little girl? |

ANSWER: You are blaming God.....God answers prayers according to his will not ours...and believe me God knows what he is doing. I could not tell you why on some he chooses to wait and on others he answers right away..... Why do you insist on saying that I am angry? I am at a loss here... a complete loss... ANSWER: I am saying angry because your threads are not like they were when you first started posting....and they seem angry to me....... ANSWER: I do not defend religion per say....I defend God, Jesus Christ and the Bible. For the obvious reasons I would say. And I don't think there has ever been a question you have asked me that I have not answered. If there is....please let me know and I will answer to the best of my ability. Most importantly.... ANSWER: What makes you think I feel my prayers are any more important then anyone else out in this great big world that is praying.....I don't, and I don't think I have ever given that impression...Have I????? I would be right there praying that who every would do that to a child be punished to the greatest extent of the law. But I can't tell you why God chooses to answer some and not answer others. But I do know of all the prayers I know.....myself, that He (God) held out and the person was able to help others because of it. She was to hurt and destroyed when she was praying at first. So I say the Lord worked with this person until the moment was right and the best outcome for all happened.

Because you read not what I actually wrote... I said "most Christians" That makes no difference! You still judge "most Christians" as being judgmental, meanwhile the only reason why it seems they are majority is because there are MORE people on this world that say they are "Christian" meanwhile everything they do contradicts. So in essence you have lumped REAL Christians with 'labeled' Christians. See how it was a judgment? No problem, everyone judges. Some more than others. When I was 16 I became cognitive of my judgmental behaviour and was disgusted by how often I did it; it was a major turning point in my life. Then you make a broad-based claim that all humans need hope. Nothing is impossible with your 'God'...remember? Just think about what it would mean to be in a state where you DONT need hope. Think about it. What kind of mindset is it? What kind of belief system is running it? If you dont have hope, then you are hopeless and you will FEEL this..not a fun place to be; I've been there. But if you "dont need hope" ask yourself HOW can someone get to that belief in the 1st place? I hope you can see the flaws here. One creates what one believes one believes what one creates... Thats true, BUT it is false in the context you are making it. If you have no vested interest then why are you arguing with me? Because I know the exact mindset you are coming from and I can see how you can come to that : Christianity made Jesus the christ... not Jesus... conclusion. If I hadnt experienced what I have as a believer; I would be in the same boat as you. But because you havent experienced similar things you can only conclude on what you know/have experienced. So you are right in YOUR BELIEFS, but if you knew what I knew you would see that your current views are wrong. |

I personally believe that Christianity has walked away from what Jesus spoke... those words that have been attributed to him have been passed on, through word of mouth and translation. The gnostic gospels have quite similar parables along with some which teach of what is within... gnosis teachings.These have still made it through all of the translations... somehow... someway... the words' meaning have lasted, although the 'religion' has all but completely disregarded what I believe the true intention was... Many of the parables and words which are reported to have been spoken by Jesus follow closely along the lines of Eastern teachings from long before the time of Christ. If one can separate themselves from what they have accepted regarding Christianity's teachings of the purposes of the parables and words of Jesus, one could find the deeper meanings within them... Do a comparison... read the 'spoken' words of Jesus... read the bloodshed and hate in the Old Testament... Enter through the narrow gate... Christianity is wide open... and far from the meaning that I believe Jesus intended... Ghandi said it best... 'I like your Christ, I just don't like your Christians.' So many parables concerning what is within you... so, so many... NONE which are of crucifixion for redemption...
