It's ironic how the word ALONE contains the word one. However, if we can be content on being alone it might save us from hooking up with just anybody. Can you list any benefits of being alone?

it gives you a chance to not only find out who you are.. but it gives you teh opertunity to take your time getting to know who it is that you are looking for.. like if you are brushing your teeth... and you think... wow whoever i am with needs to know how to squeeze the toothpaste right or it will drive me crazy... it gives you plenty of time to find the qualities in yourself that you want to change, and time to work on them, as well as figure out exeactly what it is that you want in a mate...

I learned I would MUCH rather be alone than be with the wrong person for the 93rd time.

Being IN a relationship and feeling alone, like you're completely isolated and have no one to talk to, is WORSE than actually being alone.

And when you spend 12 hours a day trying to figure a graceful way OUT of a relationship, that's 12 hours you could have spent on something more constructive.

I'm glad I waited, and didn't rush into anything pointless and stupid -- I've done plenty of that in the past....
