i'm also one of those that doesn't answer...
i feel no compulsion to. really. the only people i owe anything to are those that i know and love... i really think it's a bit co-dependent to think otherwise. |

So I am new here, but not to online sites. I was informed by a member I was rude to ignore their messages and should have just replied I was not interested. I found this odd. Do people actually reply to everyone they aren't interested in? I kinda thought was one of the benefits of online people meeting, to just ignore people you don't want to talk to. I can understand telling someone in a bar that is hitting on you that you're not interested or they are creepy, whatever. But digital rejection seems sort of a waste of time? |

I always reply to every email I get, I guess its just because I am a nice person? I just think its polite to answer the email and to be nice about it and say that hey thanks but no thanks! There are nice ways to do it, and in return just tell them something like...hey have a great week and I am sure you will find that perfect person for you

I answer all my mail, it is rude not to. If I am not interested in a relationship, we can be friends. People do not have to be rude. |

I reply to everybody who writes -- and if they actually have something to say, and actually read my profile, so much the better....
But a lot of times, I end up writing something like "Thanks for writing; I would suggest you go to my profile and read it before making the type of proposal as delineated in your e-mail. There are certain situations I prefer not to get involved in, you illiterate moron." Who says courtesy is dead? |

Humm well to each there own I guess. Sorry I do it out of respect they took the time to write me. Even if they did not take the time and read my profile like they should have or looked at my pics.
I'm not here looking for a miracle but for the friendships I gain. Which I must say have gained some I don't plan on losing over the years. I have gotten some pretty rank e-mails at times but............ did I answer them HELL YA!!!!!! had a blast with those making them look like a fool in the long run hey just dished out what they gave it was all out of the respect thing hehehhehe. But yes I do answer all my e-mails. Some times short and sweet but I do feel you give what you give. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. And for the perverts well now that is just a playground to have fun and dish it back at them hey I get bored sometimes have to take it out on someone so why not them lol |

I always respond. Reliability was instilled to me in my youth. That's kinda what makes it such a nice diversified group.

I personally respond to all the emails that I get.........the bad thing is that sometimes that is all I get to do and I don't get to post.
I usually reply nicely to what questions I have and then tell them that I am not interested in anymore than friendship, but I hope they find what they are looking for. I have met some really great friends this way. Thats just me though. |
