A general rule of thumb: If they don't match what you've stated you're looking for you don't owe them a reply. They ignored what you said, you're just returning the favor. If they DO match but you're not attracted to them for whatever reason a polite "Thanks but you're not my type and good luck" is the only respectable thing to do.

So I am new here, but not to online sites. I was informed by a member I was rude to ignore their messages and should have just replied I was not interested. I found this odd. Do people actually reply to everyone they aren't interested in? I kinda thought was one of the benefits of online people meeting, to just ignore people you don't want to talk to. I can understand telling someone in a bar that is hitting on you that you're not interested or they are creepy, whatever. But digital rejection seems sort of a waste of time? myself,i answer all e-mails.and will talk to anyone on here who wants to talk or needs someone to listen.just my $0.02 thats a very sweet way to be

Duh!!! Thats why I qouted it ya bum Well said... first.. nice first post... second.. there are some people (ya me to sometimes) that feel bad by not replying.. so they reply to every email they recieve... even a curtosey .. sorry not interested.... true it is a bonus of onlining that you dont HAVE to reply to all.. but it is a commonly practiced curtosey in here.. we are the super friendly dating site.. the thing is.. it saves people from being jsut ignored... it hurts less to have a reason.. or at least a no thanks.. than to be just ignored... so now you are just going to go around on all the thoughtful threads and copy me??? lol i am just teazin... i put a lot of thought in to that response..
