Have personally gone 20 years both ways in relationships. I personally believe it is what ever makes one happy. You answer only to yourself, unless of course your steping across legal lines, and that is whole different conversation. In the end it depends what you are seeking.

Many older women go for younger men as they are peaking in thier desires and younger men can keep up to them as older men peak and have less desire or ability. Many older women are open to exploring new things where some older men are set in thier ways. The same way many younger men will chase older women to gain experiance as most know what they like and dont. Many older women are willing to explore and share things that a younger woman wont or doesnt have the confidence to.

There is also the elephant in the room of physical attraction. While it isnt everything, it does make a difference to have it.

In all honesty I prefer a man my age, maybe 4-5 years older.
But then the big but... many men of 40+ have problems when it comes to the intimate part.
That only gets worse as they age.

Meaning if you want to be certain you're going to get great passionate sex the way it should be, you need a younger man.

Problem is that I do not generally feel romantically attracted when there's such an age gap. Sex is one thing, falling in love, having a healthy decent love relationship is another.
Phases of life you're in etc. are too far apart.

Actually dating younger is breath of fresh air. I am 64 and younger men are attracted to me and I to them. I am beyond caring what others think.
