OT: Feeling a little icky. I've had a wee virus since before I left Kazakhstan.

Actually I don't, hahaha, but I'm teaching myself. My sister is the skilled one at refurbishing homes. But she's been super busy, so I am learning the basics. Pretty much anything that doesn't involve electrical, plumbing, and structural work. My sister handles that when she has time.

I'm staying at a hotel in Virginia (visiting my daughters) and I just came back from the breakfast room. A man was chatting me up (innocently at first) and then he was definitely hitting on me. When he asked me if I'd be around for a few days I said no, I'm moving to a different hotel today. He asked which one and like a dork I told him. He said he might switch to that hotel too! Then he followed me to the elevator and we rode up together and it turns out his room is right next door to mine! I'm a little icked out and I can't wait to check out!

Can you switch to a different hotel, other than the one you told him? Or maybe alert security?

Just great.

Grateful. Had some crazy storms here last night and was without power from 6:30pm-5:00am. There are still many thousands without and it might be a couple more days before it's fully restored. On top of that it is super hot here right now. Hoping for the best for those that still are doing without.

Excited! I haven't seen my little toy pomeranian, Tinkerbell in a year. My daughter and I are going to take our doggies to a dog-friendly restaurant for lunch, then to the dog park today. I can't wait to see my Tinky!

Warm and getting used to waking up 'kitten style' meaning I gotta be active and on yellow alert right away as li'l Roosje is exploring, being naughty, discovering new gaps she fits into that I cannot reach if she cannot get out anymore.
Many of those gaps are still filled up with something from when Nila got here 2 yrs ago, but this li'l one is a tad more inventive, hihi.
